The GM Authority Take

The 2024 results represent the 11th consecutive month of growth for GM Mexico sales, while the 19,674 deliveries mark one of the highest monthly records in the company’s contemporary history in the Latin country. With this, The General continues to grow sales volume in the Mexican market thanks to healthy acceptance of its most recent vehicle launches.

All-new 2024 Chevy Aveo sedan

The uptick in GM Mexico sales last month was once again led by dramatic growth for the best-selling all-new 2024 Chevy Aveo – which continues to solidify itself as the company’s best-selling nameplate in the country. The popular subcompact car saw an outstanding performance of almost 5,500 deliveries in December, thereby becoming the second best-selling vehicle in the entire Mexican automotive market, only surpassed by the 7,621 deliveries of the best-selling Nissan Versa.

Chevy Groove

It’s also worth highlighting the significant increase posted by the Chevy Groove, as well as additional sales earned by the all-new Chevy Montana and 2024 Chevy Trax, which recorded the highest year-over-year growth rate for GM Mexico. These models offset notable drops suffered by no less than 24 nameplates during the month, including GM’s line of full-size trucks and SUVs, which saw significant double-digit contractions.

  1. Do you report on things like call backs , wait time for software corrections, restarting production of vehicles which have major problems! I think at least a weekly update should be provided. Thank you!
