The GM Authority Take

After three consecutive months of declines, Chevrolet Korea sales experienced a healthy uptick in October, thereby recovering the growth path started during the first half of the year. In fact, the 4,437 sales earned in October represent a significant recovery in Chevrolet’s registrations in the South Korean market, with almost 2,000 more vehicles than the 2,602 units sold in September.

Chevrolet Korea’s substantial improvement during October was enabled by a new monthly sales record for the all-new 2024 Chevy Trax in the domestic South Korean market. After three months in the red, the new Trax rebounded to deliver over 3,000 units in October, posting a massive four-digit increase that once again positions it at the forefront of its segment in the country.

Also contributing to the performance were notable double- and triple-digit increases for the Chevy Colorado, Equinox and Tahoe. The 335 Colorado deliveries represent one of the best records for the midsize pickup during the 2023 calendar year in the South Korean market, where it stands out for being the first body-on-frame pickup. Meanwhile, the Chevy Trailblazer continued in the red, deepening its decline in the local market.
