The GM Authority Take

November represents the tenth consecutive month during which GM Mexico sales have increased. During the month, GM registered healthy double-digit growth that added nearly 2,200 deliveries to the automaker’s bottom line on a year-over-year basis.

As was the case during prior months, the protagonist of GM Mexico’s solid results during November was the all-new 2024 Chevy Aveo. The model continues to to dramatically improve sales volume over the last-gen model, consolidating its position as the automaker’s best-selling nameplate in Mexico with a solid volume of nearly 5,000 units in November. Also worth highlighting is strong growth for the all-new 2024 Chevy Trax, as well as healthy improvements for the Chevy S10 Max and Tornado Van.

By contrast, GM’s entire line of full-size pickup trucks and SUVs suffered double-digit declines in Mexico, including the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra, which had posted triple- and quadruple-digit growth during October. Meanwhile, sales of the Cadillac Escalade fell 28 percent, while the GMC Yukon was down 54 percent and the Yukon XL was down 50 percent. This resulted in total sales at Cadillac and GMC to drop substantially, as these brands depend almost entirely on sales of their larger models.
