The GM Authority Take

After two consecutive months of sales decreases, the solid increase in Chevrolet Brazil sales in October represents an important recovery that once again puts the brand’s performance in the green. In fact, the 32,274 units sold in October month represents Chevrolet Brazil’s highest monthly performance so far this year, and is one of the highest volumes in recent history, surpassing the 29,993 deliveries recorded in March. Even so, Chevy remained second in terms of brand sales popularity, behind Volkswagen, for the second consecutive month.

The solid performance in October was driven by the outstanding sales volume recovery of the Chevy Onix, putting an end to a streak of three consecutive months of sales declines. In this fashion, the Onix strengthened its position as the best-selling vehicle in Brazil with a volume of 17,771 units which, much like the brand’s overall result, represents the highest sales figure achieved by the subcompact car so far this year.

By contrast, the Chevy Tracker suffered a significant decrease in October, losing 1,827 units from its October 2022 performance, which was the highest volume the crossover has achieved in the Brazilian market so far. This setback caused the Tracker’s year-to-date results to swing into the red. For its part, the all-new Chevy Montana maintained a stable volume of almost 3,000 units, continuing to stand out in the local compact pickup segment.
