U.S. Cadillac Sales Up Four Percent For 37K Deliveries During Q3 2024

U.S. Cadillac sales increased four percent for 37,214 deliveries during the third quarter of 2024. Individual model sales performance was as follows:

The GM Authority Take

U.S. Cadillac sales increased during Q3 2024 despite the luxury marque’s two sedans and one crossover being in the red. The Cadillac Escalade full-size SUV family continues to be the sales volume leader while also posting the biggest gain this quarter, while the Cadillac Lyriq came in second, outselling the rest of the model portoflio.

The refreshed 2025 Cadillac Escalade will arrive later this year, and will likely accompany an increase in sales of the luxury marque’s flagship utility vehicle. It will soon be joined by three all-electric utilities, namely the regular-length Cadillac Escalade IQ, followed by the new Cadillac Optiq to serve as the brand’s smallest and most affordable EV. These, in turn, will be followed by the first-ever Cadillac Vistiq and Escalade IQL.

For the ICE-powered crossovers, the subcompact Cadillac XT4 was in the green, likely thanks to improvements made for the 2024 model year refresh. The Cadillac XT6 was also in the green, but the compact Cadillac XT5 was in the red. The XT5 will not see any updates for the North American market, as GM has elected to serve the segment with the Lyriq.

Sales of the Cadillac CT4 and CT5 sedans were both down, with the smaller model faring the worst. These model lines include the sporty Cadillac CT4-V and ultra high-performance Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing, along with Cadillac CT5-V and Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, respectively. While the CT5 received a refresh across its lineup, the CT4 line did not.

Notably, Cadillac is the only GM brand to offer sedans for sale other than the Bow Tie brand, which sells the Chevy Malibu. Alas, even the Malibu will soon be discontinued.
