2026 Cadillac Vistiq Electric Three-Row Crossover Debuts

As GM Authority has been closely following for some time now, General Motors has been gearing up to officially reveal another Cadillac electric crossover positioned above the Cadillac Lyriq, as evidenced in numerous spy photographs. Now, the Detroit-based automaker has finally pulled the sheets of the 2026 Cadillac Vistiq.

Slotting between the Cadillac Lyriq and the Cadillac Escalade IQ, the all-new Vistiq is a three-row all-electric crossover that stands as the third Caddy EV to be unveiled this year, and the brand’s fifth fully electric model.

Rear-three-quarter view of 2026 Cadillac Vistiq.

Although details are mute at the moment as General Motors will release additional information on available features and pricing next year, the Vistiq sports a 600E4 badge. As per Cadillac’s naming scheme, it indicates an all-wheel drivetrain and 600 Nm or roughly 450 pound-feet of torque. The Lyriq AWD wears the same badge, so the Vistiq will likely be offered with an Ultium Drive two-motor setup, which is rated at 500 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque in the Lyriq. As observed on running prototypes of the Vistiq spotted earlier this year, the crossover will likely offer rear-wheel steering as well.

In addition, the 2026 Cadillac Vistiq boasts an upright, boxy design more in line with the Escalade IQ than the sportier looking Lyriq. The two-tier taillamp design incorporates horizontal lighting strips just below the rear window, a generously sized faux-grille compared to the one on the 2025 Cadillac Optiq, 22-inch wheels and flush-mounted door handles shared with the Lyriq.

“Vistiq adds another compelling EV to the Cadillac lineup, reinforcing our commitment to an electric future,” Global Cadillac Vice President John Roth claimed in a prepared statement. “Our brand now has an EV entry in most luxury segments, offering customers a range of choices, and Cadillac EVs will cover most luxury SUV segments across critical global markets in the next two years.”

As a reminder, The General trademarked the Vistiq nameplate back in November 2021 with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and also filed an Australian trademark in August 2023.

  1. Vistiq? Really? Ok 🫤

    1. Maybe they should hold off on debuting this new EV until they can actually build the EVs they already have. Nice looking though. I wish them well.

      1. Production of the other EVs will be significantly higher next year.

      2. My thoughts exactly. They keep dumping out all these EVs but haven’t been able to ramp up EV production. Either Mary is extremely confident production issues will be resolved or she is delusional. I hope its not the latter. I would love to see GM succeed as a leader in EVs.

    2. Yeah. Dumb name. Almost nobody will buy them so I guess it doesn’t matter.

Probably a pretty good vehicle though. The Lyriq isn’t bad despite its goofy name.

  2. Looks pretty good.
This can’t replace the XT6 soon enough!!!

    1. I don’t know, price wise, it will not be a replacement. Maybe size. I’d expect at least 50% more expensive and may break 100K(2X a low end XT6). Slade EV will be 150 by the time it is out.

      1. Top end IQ already 175…

  3. This seems like exactly the right form factor. The rear is a bit messy but otherwise it looks pretty good with out trying to be something it’s not. Surprised it’s “2026”.

    1. The absolutely earliest this can go on sale in 1/1/2025 to be called a 2026 model. This thing is 1.5 to 2 years away from showroom floor. GM continues to shoot its loads way too early on new products. The Blazer EV is just now getting reviews and it looks and feels like last year’s news because we all saw it so long ago. GM is a clown company when it comes to product unveilings. Always has been in the 40 years I’ve been following them. “Our current products are crap, but wait till you see what we have in store.” seem to be their mindset.

      1. Battery Batteries that is the hold up

      2. Exactly, and when they finally get the bugs worked out the product is canceled.

      3. We only know the visual aspects of the VISTIQ. We can assume of what the vehicle may have. So no one knows for sure since the info is limited at this time so I don’t think it was uncalled for GM to reveal the design without mentioning the dimensions, features and tech.

Also, the dimensions of the CELESTIQ are still limited but we know the technology and features of the vehicle so when the vehicles comes close to production, everything is usually revealed by that.

  4. These new Cadillac electric crossovers are so much more premium looking compared to the XT4,5,and 6. I also hope they build an attainable sedan and eventually a sports car. These new Cadillacs I feel truly compete in the luxury arena. Of course that’s just my opinion as design is objective.

    1. Ct5IQ 🤣

  5. Well, aside from GM delving into EVs way too fast (probably with awful reliability to boot), this is so much better, design wise, than the ungainly Lyriq (and Celestiq). But, Cadillac needs to fix the new rear ends. This one is atrociously hodgepodge as far as lighting goes, and ruins the entire vehicle.

  6. Showing a 2026 model 1.5 to 2 years before anyone can buy one — what is the possible upside? None. It smells of desperation, tells customers the current line up is not any good, and lets the competition know what you have in the pipeline. Absolutely pathetic.

    1. Couldn’t agree with you more Mark. It’s like that time when Tesla showed the CyberTruck 4 years before it launched and got over a million orders. Look at the egg on their face.

      Reply
      1. My bad. Tesla received zero criticism for showing that so early.

        1. Exactly. People only revolt and have this big of an issue with something when gm does it. Somebody here actually asked if Marry Barra was delusional for revealing all these models which they said she wouldn’t produce, then asked if she really believed production would ramp up. They actually believe the company would just make up complete boldface lies about going EV without any actual plans of doing so and what it takes in order to make that happen. These are the types of folks following GMA. Smh.

    2. It’s not for customers, it’s for investors. With the Kia EV9 out, GM wants to show investors they will have something in the same segment.

  7. Drop the EV, put a gas motor in it, sell it

    Reply
    1. Yeah they need to do something about their aging crossovers. They should have never been on a front drive chassis.

  8. Stu pid name.
Narrow front lights are getting dated. Sick of it already. They dont look cool.

    Everything else is pretty good.

  9. Patently boring. This design is stale already. Think what it will look like in 5 years.

  10. I personally like this rear the most out of all the EVs cadillac announced. Its upright design helps it a lot. The design isnt over the top, which usually is something I’d complain about for cadillac but this actually works. Black paint and black wheels will make this thing have a commanding road presence.

  11. Aren’t you naysyers ashamed that you are criticizing the only American luxury brand producing electrics? Every brand in the world is going electric but you don’t support our brands! Are you Americans at all??

    Reply
    1. Exactly, if you aren’t in the market, the buyers will go someplace else. Electric vehicles are the future weather we like it or not and GM needs to establish a foothold and not be late to the party.

      Reply
    2. Tesla?

Fans shouldn’t blindly support, they should be critical of things that need critiquing instead of just being “yes-men” who don’t actually end up buying the product anyways

      Reply
    3. Nobody is buying electric vehicles in volume from anyone but Tesla.

      Reply
      1. And since Tesla is the most American brand anyway, everyone is happy about it, right?

        Reply
    4. Yeah, cuz it’s not like 85% of buyers haven’t already been going elsewhere in the last decade!

    5. Honestly the competition is pretty boring too. Look at this then look at Bill Mitchell era Cadillacs. I do support GM, don’t like the imports either. Not I don’t think the right thing to do is ‘support’ as you say it when they put up a boring stale mess. This was their opportunity to start with a clean slate. They new found freedom from a new platform and more freedom from an electric architecture and this is what we get? This is reinvention?!?!

  12. Vistiq? Such a weird name, they could have called it the Mystiq. Anyhow, hopefully it should sell well for Cadillac.

  13. I could almost forgive the stupid names if they were pronounced “-stique” but instead they pronounce it “stick”. Sell a stick. Miss stick. Lire ick. What are they doing!?

  14. 100% for the investors, not the now consumer.

I’ll hold judgement until I see it in person. Would assume that Cadillac will have it in their space at the Chicago Auto Show in Feb – they have to be shooting for deposits and gauging interest. Hopeful that it looks as nice in person vs these images.

  18. Everything looks great except for the front lights.
All the last ev caddy models have these st upid asian style narrow drls. Which look cheap, boring and awful.
They should have made elmiraj style headlights or at least create smth more expressive than these very badly proportioned drls.

    1. I see nothing wrong with them. It is a small detail. I like the move to the larger vertical lighting as well,.

  19. This makes the eqe or eqs or whatever size this is similar to look like crap. I do think the Kia ev9 and Hyundai ioniq 7 might give this a run for it’s money.

    1. I love this. I currently drive a Lyriq, and before the Lyriq my favorite Cadillac that I owned was the Escalade. I am considering the Hummer EV or Escalade IQ for my next car in 2 years, but now I have to add the Vistiq to the list. And it’s a much better value than the Escalade as the IQ starts at $120k. Every time I try to leave Cadillac they keep reeling me back in with beautiful cars.

    2. More likely Hyundai will market a Genesis against this. Either the Abacab or the Paper Late.

  20. Wow… the rear is a complete mess!!

  21. The front looks good, and I am sure it’s a decent first generation EV.

The rear styling is almost as hideous as the Lyriq.

If I could change two things about Cadillac…I’d fire the people who designed those stupid rear fin lights with the fake vents….and then fire the team that came up with the even more stupid “iq” names. It’s so cheap and foolish sounding.

  22. There’s a lot of lighting elements on the rear and it seems too busy. I like the horizontal lights. I feel like they should remove the lower ones if they want to go this route.

Otherwise I appreciate that this EV looks like a normal ICE vehicle. They didn’t go too far out of the box for the sake of being different. Has a distinct Cadillac look to it.

  23. Aside from the hideous rear, looks like a Lincoln Aviator. The XT6 needed a replacement yesterday, but this isn’t the answer.

  28. It looks exactly like the clay model they showed us a while back at the dealer event.

Thisssss(Doug Demuro’s Voice) is by far the best-looking BEV Cadillac has made so far, and the crazier part about it is, that they couldn’t afford for it not to be as this one is geared towards “upper-middle class Families”
With the Upcoming Escalade IQ well over 120k and the LYRIQ Starting at $63k(the Tech will not exist as a 2025 MY I speculate)
this will probably start at ~$73k(to qualify for tax credit) and will end up the breadwinner for customers priced out of Escalade IQ, but needs bigger than a LYRIQ(i.e. 3rd row)

I must admit, I’m glad they decided not to go with SYMBOLIQ for this one.

The OPTIQ and VISTIQ will probably be the best sellers with the LYRIQ becoming the new Loss-Leader(XT5)
