Here Is The Refreshed 2025 Cadillac Escalade

General Motors has finally unveiled the refreshed 2025 Cadillac Escalade, showing off a wealth of updates and changes for the luxury icon. Chief among these is revised exterior styling, a new cabin dominated by a massive 55-inch screen, new convenience features, and a reworked powertrain lineup. Look for production to kick off later this year.

Outside, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade features a new look with an updated front end that Caddy frames as “bolder” than the previous design. The look draws similarities to the Cadillac Escalade IQ and includes thin upper lighting signatures and tall vertical lighting along the outer edges of the front fascia. Cadillac also says that the design details were inspired by the Celestiq halo sedan and all-electric Lyriq crossover. An illuminated front crest is standard, while V-Series and Premium Luxury Platinum trims include an illuminated grille surround.

Three new exterior colors join the lineup: Aegean Stone, Deep Sea Metallic, and Latte Metallic. There are also new 24-inch wheels on offer, the largest ever offered for the Escalade.

Moving inside, we find a large pillar-to-pillar 55-inch display, once again drawing similarities to the Escalade IQ and Celestiq. The screen includes a 35-inch driver display, matched with a 20-inch front passenger display. Further highlight features include a new power open-and-close door feature, 5G connectivity, an AKG Studio audio system, and standard GM Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assistance. The 2025 Cadillac Escalade also offers a new Executive Second Row package, just like to the Escalade IQ.

Powertrain options include the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine as standard, while the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine is standard for the Escalade-V. The 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine option is no longer offered, as GM Authority was the first to report.

The GM T1 platform once again provides the underpinnings, while production once again takes place at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.

Stay tuned, because we’ll have plenty more to say about the refreshed 2025 Cadillac Escalade very soon. In the meantime, subscribe to GM Authority for more Cadillac Escalade news, Cadillac news, and around-the-clock GM news coverage.

  1. Not sure I like the front end better than the current one. That design works amazingly well with the BEV Portfolio but not that great with that huge Grill in my opinion.
    Interior is on point though!!!

  5. Exterior will certainly be decisive. I don’t like or dislike it anymore than the current look to be honest. The interior is a much needed upgrade. The Escalade current was just starting too see it’s age, and hopefully, like the IQ, it’s getting that executive second row package that it really needs to keep relevant in the space. Deisel being dropped is whatever, hardly any were sold in comparison to gas. Just means having one engine will make availability better all together.

  6. That dash is the AIDS virus. The interior of that car will be completely obsolete LOOOONG before it’s drivetrain is. What a shame they ruined another perfectly awesome car with that kind of nonsense. Sigh.

    1. I agree the electronics are the biggest issue in the Escalade, and have been …although not as serious as it will be now. I suspect many buyers will be driven to the Tahoe and Suburban instead, given the Yukon also has a massive 16inch that somehow looks even worse… I think the Expedition, Navigator and even the QX80 (and likely higher end Patrol Y63 trim levels) will have the same problems in the future…..

    2. Jim: “perfectly awesome car”.

It’s a fancy Tahoe for those with too much money and love attention. These things don’t deserve the Cadillac name.

      1. They do indeed deserve the name. Quality and use of materials is still far above the Tahoe.

        Reply
        1. Quality is the same, materials are really what should be expected in the Chevy and GMC units , for they are way overpriced anyway.

          1. You really expect semi-aniline leather in a tahoe? In many respects the triplets are like furniture prices. Quite a range of prices on chairs depending on the material that covers the chair.

            1. You missed the point, doesn’t matter it’s Cadillac, GMC, or Chevy. They are all overvalued for what you truly get in the whole vehicle. Plus it’s apparent that GM, and at least most of the other manufacturers, are willing to use electronics to make up for build quality, when comes to safety. The list goes on, but then again, maybe you enjoy paying astronomically more for something, than what you actually get!

  8. The diesel was/is in very high demand, its nearly impossible to get your hands on one.

    1. Its hard to get one because there was no demand=dealers didnt want to order or stock any

      1. I could see them doing this China eventually.

The 2025 Chinese Tahoe gets the 2.7L+A10, but no hybrid (for now).

  11. It would be great if the passenger can control the radio, climate controls, etc from the large display in front of them. Also if they could watch movies etc on their side of he display.

  12. If you love tech but don’t want a ev I guess this is ulimate luxury of choice . I expect to be 115kish . No diesel is silly though .

  18. Does anyone else think that elongated electronic dash is going to cause a lot of accidents?
It has to be distracting to the driver.
I wonder if you can disable the passenger side screen?

    Reply
    1. I watched a vid where this was explained. The passenger display “blacks out” for the driver when the vehicle is being driven.

      Reply
      1. For MY25? If so, shutting off the screen is actually brilliant in terms of trying to reduce distracted driving (not that every driver will drag his neck to look at it…probably not). Not brilliant for the consumer repair wise (as I mentioned before), or safety wise, but MUCH better than Tesla and Ford’s stupid new technology that try to do the opposite…. In general I suspect if the passenger side screen goes bad , people can live with it as it is NOT NECESSARY by any means.

Still, I do NOT like the interior design.

  19. It looks fine, wasn’t anything wrong with the previous design imo. Just can’t get over how small those upper lights are. I’m sure they are bright as hell, but design-wise seem pointless.

    Reply
    1. They will bright. LED’s are game changing when it comes to lighting. They have come a very long way from the LED tech of the 70’s for indicator lights. Pretty amazing the efficiency of the emitter in today’s devices.

  20. The Chinese ct6 looks just like this … why not bring it over and make an ev counterpart

  21. I think the 2026 Escalade needs a revamping to a racier model. I see models that really fantastic with a muscular sports exterior but yet an upscale look.

Put the shift control back on center console with more gear selections. Go with the 24″ tire as standard.

Treat the interior with more upscale materials-less plastic. Put chrome on enlarged brake and gas pedals with real rubber in between.

Improve appearance of engine with heavy duty decals and other trim options.

Make that SUV a real luxury unit.

Call me for more dynamic ideas.
