The GM Authority Take

Once again, Chevrolet Chile sales experienced a solid uptick in August, continuing the brand’s growth while also representing its second consecutive monthly increase in the Chilean market. The performance enabled the Bow Tie brand to regain second place among the country’s best-selling auto brands, after being pushed back to third several months in a row.

The all-new Chevy Sail was once again the star of the show for Chevrolet in August. The entry-level car recorded a new four-digit increase and reached one of its best records so far during the 2024 calendar year. With this performance, the new generation Sail continues to consolidate its position as Chevy’s second best-selling model in the local market, while improving its positioning against the competition. Also achieving notable increases this month are the Chevy Silverado, the commercial truck line, and the Chevy Montana.

For its part, the Chevy Groove suffered another drop in August, losing some 64 units year-over-year. Still, the 613 deliveries of the brand’s smallest crossover represent a substantial improvement over previous months, enabling it to end the month as the best-selling vehicle in Chile.
