Below, we’ve included sales figures for full-size luxury crossovers for reference. Though they differ mechanically from the aforementioned body-on-frame SUVs by utilizing a unibody construction, they are typically cross-shopped and considered alternatives to regular full-size luxury SUVs. The only full-size luxury crossovers are the BMW X7, Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class, and Land Rover Range Rover, including the LWB Range Rover. The rumored Audi Q9 is incoming at some point to rival the Escalade and would slot into this space. Nevertheless, the Escalade family outpaces these crossovers as well.

The GM Authority Take
Cadillac Escalade family sales fell during the second quarter of the year, again matching the segment average like the previous quarter. However, the SUV sill posted a commanding 47 percent segment share to account for nearly half of all sales in this space.
A refresh of Cadillac’s flagship utility has debuted for the 2025 model year, which should only help sales grow once the updated model lands at dealerships.
About Cadillac Escalade
The 2024 Cadillac Escalade arrives with a few changes and updates, including Super Cruise now standard on most trim levels. The 2024 Escalade-V will get 20th Anniversary features to celebrate two decades of the Cadillac V-Series sub-brand. Additionally, the 2024 Escalade drops the Mahogany Metallic paint color, which is the one thing different from the 2024 model year, but adds Black Diamond Tricoat on the 2024 Escalade-V.
GM recently debuted the refreshed 2025 Cadillac Escalade, which features a notable wealth of updates and changes for the luxury icon, including revised exterior styling, a new cabin dominated by a massive 55-inch pillar-to-pillar display, new convenience features, and a reworked powertrain lineup.
Further highlights include a new power open-and-close door feature, 5G connectivity, an AKG Studio audio system, and standard GM Super Cruise. The 2025 Cadillac Escalade also offers a new Executive Second Row Seating Package, just like that found in the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ.
Powertrain options include the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine as standard, while the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine is standard for the Escalade-V. The 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine option is no longer offered, as GM Authority was the first to report.
We expect production to begin later this year.
This past August, GM debuted the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ, the first-ever all-electric full-size SUV from the luxury marque. Highlights of the Escalade IQ include streamlined styling, a tech-heavy feature list, a 55-inch pillar-to-pillar display, and a top range estimate of 460 miles with 750 horsepower on tap.

Production of the 2025 Escalade IQ is also set to begin at the GM Factory Zero plant in Hamtramck, Michigan, on October 7th.

Comments
Refresh should help maintain the share. I’ve seen the wagoneer fairly often in my area. Not surprised it is number 2 in share.
My Son bought a Grand Wagoneer and I am impressed . Loads of room and a great sounding V8 . Worthy competition.
I’ve owned the GLS 63 Benz . Loved it but a different animal .
escalade has no competition. the grand wagoneer imo is cooler on the inside (audi vibes) but outside the retro design doesnt cut it nor does it look large and imposing like the full framed GM family.
also.. JEEP. i mean come on. jeep = wrangler with no doors and roof and bugs in your teeth fun in the mud.
Anything that gains a 5% market share YoY while the slade dropped a point should grab attention. As I said, it is good that the slade did a refresh. When you are number 1, you don’t rest on your laurels.
I was surprised myself to see how nice the Wagoneer was .
Not sure I would buy one but it is better than expected.
