The GM Authority Take
After experiencing a negative streak of five consecutive months of contraction, Chevrolet Brazil sales recorded a notable double-digit increase in April. The Bow-Tie brand stopped the systematic loss of volume and market share in the South American country last month by adding almost 5,500 units compared to the same month of the previous year, marking an essential and significant recovery for Chevrolet in the Brazilian market.
Most Chevrolet Brazil models managed to increase their sales in April, led by the best-selling Chevy Onix. The Onix recorded the most substantial rise and regained its usual position as the country’s best-selling vehicle, having fallen for two consecutive months to the Volkswagen Polo, which fell behind in a distant second place with 12,434 deliveries. In addition, the Chevy Tracker also had a fairly notable increase with 1,592 additional units, which improved its competitiveness.
For its part, Chevy Spin was the nameplate that recorded the greatest year-over-year growth, with a drastic triple-digit increase that more than doubled its monthly sales volume. This notable MPV growth is due to the start of sales of the updated 2025 Spin at the end of April, achieving most of its volume in the last days of the month. The vehicle was substantially updated with design improvements, technology, and a crossover-style proposal that is being very well received by customers.
