And the time for better incentives has arrived. Party’s over, finally.
The Trax is a genuine hit out of the park! It shows there is an extreme hunger in the market for an affordable, yet well packaged and stylish vehicle. To me, the contemporary Trax truly epitomizes the single most important reason generations of buyers chose Chevrolet in past decades; perceived value. GM needs to continue that momentum.
Too bad GM does not think enough about the history of the brand to build the Trax it in the United States.
very true , we think of it that way Gm thinks……how cheap can we make this to sell , at least lets not make the wheels falll off built it in China.. yeah that works
Yep! I knew the Trax would be a solid hit from the first time I saw it. The current Trax is the closest small Chevrolet that fits the brands traditional forte, providing value in a well designed and packaged automobile.
Great quarter, well managed company with good products. Very well positioned for the future regardless of how fast the EC transition plays out.
So basically their ICE sales are down about 10,700 units for H1 vs 2023, while EV sales are up about 5,700 units vs 2023.
Hmmm,…but we don’t see that in the headlines cause it doesn’t fit the anti-EV propaganda from fossil fuel companies.
Umm, tesla the leader in ev’s had sales down around 6.6% for H1. But that doesn’t bother the cult, stock is up crazy amount. Crazier still is the dumbos that are buying shares are getting about another 20% dilution from the likely musk payout. retailEV’s have lost their minds.
Meh, anti-EV is matter of opinion. The Japanese auto company whose name shall not be mentioned (out of respect for overly sensitive fanboys who can’t take criticism of gm in any form) reported electrification of 40% of sales in H1. There is demand for hybrid and BEV. Popular pushback is coming from reasonable, rational people that understand the BEVs may not fit their particular needs and resent the idea that they will have to own one (at some point) by mandate, not by choice. Japanese Auto Co. recognized this and continued the hybrid path while adding BEVs. gm went all in their green dream and had to change course.
Lost me…well said!
I’ve seen a ton of Lyriqs on the road in my area. I’m genuinely surprised.
Also seeing a lot of Lyriq’s on the road in the Toronto area they do seem to be catching on here and must say they look amazing on the streets. Really attention grabbing.
Meanwhile in today’s news-
GM will pay $146M in federal penalties because 5.9 million older vehicles emit excess carbon dioxide.
Wow.
The Cadillac CT’s are falling fast. I wonder how long they can afford to continue building them at these low numbers, since they have a whole factory to themselves (now that Camaro is gone).
