2024 GMC Yukon Illuminated Door Sill Plates Available To Order Again

Per previous GM Authority coverage from March 2023, the illuminated door sill plate feature was unable to order on the GMC Yukon due to a parts constraint. Now, after more than a year of unavailability, the 2024 GMC Yukon can be optioned with this feature once again.

GM Authority has learned that the LPO or dealer-installed illuminated door sill plate (RPO code S0M) feature is on offer once more after being under constraint since February 2023. Available for an extra $675, this feature is offered on the SLT, AT4, Denali and Denali Ultimate trim levels, but not the entry-level SLE trim.

It’s worth noting that the LPO illuminated liftgate sill plate (RPO code 5RU) feature is available again as well, priced at $495.

As a reminder, Big Red’s full-size SUV is due for a mid-cycle refresh for the upcoming 2025 model year. Recent spy shots captured photos of a range-topping Denali Ultimate unit, which features a thoroughly reworked front fascia and slightly tweaked rear fascia.

In regard to the interior of the refreshed Yukon, the cabin is expected to be highlighted by a 15-inch infotainment display and an 11-inch driver information screen setup similar to that of the GMC Sierra EV and 2024 GMC Acadia. In fact, the screen layout will likely be shared between the Denali and non-Denali models.

Of course, The General itself recently gave a sneak peek of the 2025 Yukon before its official unveiling later this year.
