GMC Sierra EV

The GMC Sierra EV, colloquially known as the GMC Sierra electric, is an all-electric full-size light duty pickup truck marketed by General Motors. It joins the brand’s lineup of the ICE-powered GMC Sierra 1500.

The GMC Sierra EV complements its GMC Hummer EV Pickup and Chevy Silverado EV brethren, with a more upscale experience than the Chevy and better on-road manners than the GMC Hummer EV.

First Generation

The GMC Sierra EV made its world debut on October 20th, 2022, in Detroit, Michigan, as “The Denali of EVs.” GMC Sierra EV will not only be available in North America alongside ICE models, but also the Middle East as GMC enters its first international market outside of North America.

The first generation launches with the first-ever 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1. Similar to the GMC Hummer EV Pickup and SUV, the Sierra EV is based on the GM BT1 platform, with GM Ultium battery tech and GM Ultium drive motor tech for motivation. The all-new range-topper is joined by additional GMC Sierra EV trim levels: Elevation, AT4, and Denali.

Production will take place at the GM Factory Zero plant in Michigan, while future GMC Sierra EVs will be produced at GM’s Lake Orion plant in Michigan.

Deliveries of the 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 are expected to begin in early 2024. Other trims will follow thereafter.
