GM Reveals Glimpse Of Refreshed 2025 GMC Yukon

General Motors just shared a tantalizing glimpse of the refreshed 2025 GMC Yukon, showing off a close-cropped image of the full-size SUV’s fascia. The image provides a glimpse of the headlight and grille on the refreshed 2025 GMC Yukon AT4, hinting at the forthcoming styling updates. The 2025 GMC Yukon is slated for a full reveal later this year.

The image shows the redesigned front lighting, which incorporates a new C-shaped lighting signature that integrates with a stack of forward-facing lights on the side of the grille. The grille is ringed in dark-colored trim and shows three horizontal styling rings across the upper air intake. Further black trim bits are seen underneath the upper fascia.

The 2024 calendar year marks the fifth anniversary of the AT4 sub-brand, which first launched on the light-duty GMC Sierra 1500 in 2019, as well as the 25th anniversary of the Denali sub-brand, which first launched in conjunction with the 1999 Yukon Denali concept.

Spy photos have provided us with additional insights regarding the upcoming 2025 GMC Yukon. The new C-shaped LED signatures are reminiscent of the Sierra EV, while further updates will include redesigned fog lights and a new lower fascia. The rear end and wheels will be new as well. A new 5G-capable comms fin will adorn the roof, indicating further technological advancements inside the cabin.

Speaking of the interior, expect to find two massive screens that will dominate the dashboard, mirroring the tech-forward layouts seen in other GMC models, such as the Sierra EV and 2024 GMC Acadia. Specs will likely include a 15-inch infotainment screen and 11-inch driver information screen. All 2025 GMC Yukon units are expected to feature the same screen layout, unlike the current pre-refresh model, which features different screen layouts between Denali and non-Denali trims.

Under the hood, the 2025 Yukon AT4 is expected to once again offer the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 and 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engines. The new 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine is anticipated to replace the current 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel. Production of the refreshed Yukon will continue at the GM Arlington plant in Texas, while the GM T1 platform will once again provide the underpinnings.

Looking ahead, GM plans to launch the Yukon in new global markets, with Australia, New Zealand, and China all slated for the 2025-model-year rollout.

  2. GMC coming with some very good designs lately. I like this one a lot.

  3. Will I need a car loan or a home loan to pay for this? I’m a past Yukon owner and enjoyed it, but getting hard to justify new vehicles due to cost. Maybe I’m just getting old and grumpy.

    1. I’ve owned a Tahoe and Yukon, liked them both very much and I agree with you completely.

    2. It’s a hard sell when the new Acadia is 20k cheaper and has the same cargo space (or at least close).

      1. Think of the price difference as a v8/RWD tax for those who can’t have a 4 cylinder. Hurts CAFE so hard ay the tax.

    3. You’re right. Wife had a new 2016 Yukon XL Denali. MSRP was $91,000 Canadian. Quite a bit less with my retiree discount and vehicle voucher. That’s the only way I could afford one. 2024 is $136,000 plus 5% tax on first $100,000, plus 20% luxury tax on $36,000, plus 5% on the luxury tax!! Ya you heard me right, tax on tax. So it’s $5000 plus $7200 plus $360 tax!!! So it’s only $148,560 now. Ya, ok.

      1. Yeah thats Canada for you! When I bought my wife’s yukon new 21′ yukon at4 I have preferred pricing. it was around 85k Cad at the time. But the crazy part is with all the stupid taxes on top!

    4. “Will I need a car loan or a home loan to pay for this?”

A 15 year loan technically is a mortgage.

Then there’s the various forms of creative financing (balloons, interest-only, etc.) because we didn’t learn anything from the last time the economy tanked.

  4. I guess gm is trying to minimize the size of headlights on their large BOF SUV’s? They look a bit lost on that size vehicle but of course it’s just one opinion. Thought the same thing about the new Escalade with its narrow, low mounted vertical lights but hopefully it looks better in person.

Physical buttons for perhaps the climate control and touch screen for most other functions? Guess we’ll see. On the Escalade, a different site showed an all touch screen interface and labeled it “Escalade” but it was in fact the Escalade IQ (EV) not the ICE Escalade. Good to make that distinction.

  5. i hate the current GMC light and grille. this tends to fix it a bit by giving it somewhat of a cadillac vibe. its an improvement

  6. Let’s see the new small block V8 in it please…and all for a nice convenient price of $105,000!!!

  7. If everyone would stop being so impulsive, and not buy a new vehicle, then the prices will drop!! But so many people out there wanna have it RIGHT NOW, so they finance it for 7 years for an outrageous payment!!! Stupidity at its finest

  8. That looks like they’re bringing a Yukon AT4X.. the grill is identical to the 1500s..

  9. Absolutely love the interior and exterior styling, but the vertical screen just looks out of place. Same with the all new 2024 GMC Acadia

  10. I hate the steering wheel, I hate the lights, I am not sure about the new screen setup. When driving a big SUV like this you want to feel like you are driving a truck. They made that steering wheel “feminine” and it should have a more “masculine” built. They ruined it!!! It looks like they took away the fog lights.

  11. Waiting for GM to get rid of the cylinder deactivation
system on these before I buy another one.
I’m more than sure this segment of buyer could really care less about a 1 MPG savings vs all the carnage the system does to the engine.
PS note to GM Brass, as expensive as these are most people tend to keep them over 100k miles

  12. Same for me. Cylinder deactivation 👎!
