Back in May 2022, GM Authority reported that the rear-door express-up window control feature on the Cadillac Escalade was unavailable due to a parts constraint. Now, this feature is available once again on the 2024 Cadillac Escalade.
GM Authority has learned from sources close to the matter that as of January 7th, 2024 production, Cadillac Escalade units are now being built with the rear-door express-up window control feature. Notably, this feature was under constraint during the 2022 model year and throughout the 2023 model year. The express-up feature allows occupants to raise the windows without holding the door-mounted switch. The feature is activated by pulling the window switch up fully and quickly releasing it.
In addition, owners can now raise all windows with the keyfob by double pressing and holding the Lock button for three seconds. They could already lower all windows with the keyfob by double pressing and holding the Unlock button for three seconds. As such, the return of this feature brings increased functionality to the luxury SUV.
It’s worth noting that units affected by the constraint are identified by RPO code 00N on the window sticker.
As a reminder, the “regular” 2024 Cadillac Escalade is offered with the choice of either the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, rated at 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, or the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax, rated at 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the high-performance Cadillac Escalade-V features the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine, which develops 682 horsepower and 653 pound-feet of torque.
Regardless of powerplant, the GM 10-speed automatic transmission handles the cog swaps for every model.
In regard to structure, the Escalade rides on the GM T1 platform, while production takes place at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.
Looking forward, the Escalade is set to receive a mid-cycle refresh that will see updates to the exterior, interior, and powertrain. As far as the exterior is concerned, the front and rear fascias will be revised, along with redesigned lighting elements similar to those found on the 2024 XT4, the second-generation CT6, and the Escalade IQ.
As for the interior, an overhauled cabin is expected to feature a full-width, coast-to-coast infotainment screen reminiscent to that found in the bespoke Cadillac Celestiq.

Instead of a 8.00 switch available. How about fixing the lifters. I went to my Cadillac parts department to order a new engine for my Escalade .
Thanks
