GM is applying a mid-cycle update to its full-size SUV lineup in conjunction with the 2025 model year, and that includes the GMC Yukon. Although The General has yet to formally debut the refreshed 2025 GMC Yukon, GM Authority has already brought you a treasure trove of information on what it’ll bring to the table, including an early look at the design via spy photos of the 2025 GMC Yukon Denali. Now, we’re back at it with new spy images of the refreshed Yukon Denali Ultimate.
Clad in an eye-catching shade of White Frost Tricoat paint (paint code G1W), this latest iteration of the Yukon Denali Ultimate showcases several exterior revisions set to drop for the 2025-model-year refresh.
Starting up front, this 2025 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate shows off a new grille in Vader Chrome, a finish that’s exclusive to GMC’s Denali Ultimate models. This grille features an intricate, interlocking pattern, while the dark finish provides a nice contrast to the white paint. Redesigned C-shaped headlights flank the impressive grille, incorporating a new signature look that was hinted at in previous teaser images. Below, the revised bumper integrates new fog lights and combines both dark and polished trim elements.
The side profile shows the 22-inch seven-spoke ultra-bright machined wheels with bright chrome accents and dark paint (RPO code SRM). The technical design and dark silver finish of the rims complement the White Frost exterior. Further enhancing the profile are body-colored door handles, Denali badging on the doors, and polished trim around the windows. The side mirrors present a dual-tone look with black and white, maintaining the vehicle’s cohesive design theme.
At the rear, GMC has repositioned the Denali badge to a more central location, ensuring it commands attention. The C-shaped taillights retain their familiar design, while the refreshed bumper features integrated exhaust tips and a black finish. Also note the revised rear bumper with a new exhaust treatment. In fact, this particular unit is wearing EPA exhaust tips.
Inside the cabin, the refreshed Yukon is expected to feature a 15-inch infotainment display and an 11-inch driver information screen, similar to the Sierra EV and 2024 GMC Acadia. The screen layout is expected to be identical between Denali and non-Denali trims, unlike the current, pre-refresh Yukon.
Under the hood, the refreshed 2025 GMC Yukon will continue to offer the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 and 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engines. A new addition is expected with the introduction of the 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine, replacing the 3.0L I6 LM2 offered currently.
Production will continue to take place at the GM Arlington plant in Texas, while the GM T1 platform will once again provide the underpinnings. GM also plans to offer the Yukon nameplate in new international markets, including Australia, New Zealand, and China.

No vader chrome on the back?
No quad exhaust?
Definitely a better looking vehicle than the regular blingy Denali
That is confusing why they took away the quad exhaust treatment, I thought they were pushing that to emphasize their sportiness. I wish that GMC would get a smaller Yukon 5 seat, 3.0TT counterpart with sportier dynamics. I’m actually loving the new light signature now that the camo has been removed.
That doesn’t look bad! It would be a solid daily with the 6.2L.
The fact they took the dual exhaust away is not cool I love my upgraded borla exhaust. The Vader chrome is beautiful. I think I’ll keep my 2024 yukon denali ultimate xl over this one.
Where’s the lifted off road ( not that anyone would ever do that) 35″ tires, multimatic equiped Yukon AT4X?
My only real complaint is the name. This should be the denali, and the regular delani should be called something else like platinum reserve, or black label. The higher trim level above Denali being denali ultimate doesn’t sound very prestigious to me, more of an after thought. I like the truck tho.
I wish the Yukon would get better front seats a little more cushioner not so hard long trips they start hurting
Looks fine but it’s too large and expensive for my needs. I REALLY wish they’d make a midsize, 5-passenger, BOF, ICE and/or hybrid SUV. Either solid rr axle or IRS is fine. Basically a gm 4 Runner. I’d buy one tomorrow.
Honestly, this would be such an EASY business case sell to any senior management team willing to listen. Easy peasy stuff for any decent product planning pro to pull together a program like this.
You need to bring this car over to Australia for families like mine they don’t make them this big over here & I need the space with 3 giant sons in the back
I can’t wait to see if they offer something other than brown leather in the ultimate.
Aesthetically, I wish they had kept the twin dual exhausts like my 2024 Denali. I will order a 2025 and am thinking seriously about ordering the Ultimate. I have always had a black interior and am torn about stepping out and getting the Alpine Umber. We shall see. 23. Steel Metallic, dual exhausts li, but it was not offered when I ordered the 24 which i went with the Sterling Metallic which is a lighter, more silver-ish color. Eager for the orders to open so that I can spec out and get this baby on order.
