While the all-new second generation of the Chevy Trax compact crossover launched with the 2024 model year, the 2025 Trax also debuts several significant changes and upgrades, including new technology and a new engine configuration that can utilize E85 fuel. There are also several changes to the lineup of available 2025 Chevy Trax colors.
After dropping four paint colors and adding two new exterior paint choices to the crossover’s palette, there are eight 2025 Chevy Trax colors on offer across the vehicle’s trim levels. Half of these, or four colors, can be optioned on all trims.
Six of the 2025 Chevy Trax colors are available at no extra charge, while two, specifically Marina Blue Metallic (color code GKN) and Nitro Yellow Metallic (color code GHS) are priced at an additional $395. Marina Blue is a new color to the lineup, while Nitro Yellow carries over from the previous model year. Cacti Green is no longer available on 1RS and 2RS trim levels compared to the 2024 Chevy Trax, while Crimson Metallic can no longer be ordered in conjunction with the Activ trim level.
The table below summarizes the availability and pricing of the 2025 Chevy Trax colors:

Pricing for the 2025 Chevy Trax remains at the affordable end of the Bow Tie’s model portfolio, though prices have increased either $200 or $400 for certain trim levels compared to the 2024 Chevy Trax. Starting MSRP ranges from $21,495 for the entry-level 1LS to $25,395 for the range-topping Activ. These prices include a $1,095 destination freight charge.
For motivation, the 2025 Trax cradles a new variant of the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine under the hood, carrying the RPO code LBP to indicate its flex-fuel capability but still generating the same 137 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 162 pound-feet of torque at 2,500 rpm. All trim levels are equipped with a front-wheel drivetrain.
Dimensional changes to the second-gen Trax give both the 2024 and 2025 models three more inches of rear legroom and a 12-percent boot to cargo space. The 2025 Chevy Trax continues to be underpinned by the GM VSS-F vehicle set.
Production was scheduled to kick off on March 4th, 2024, and takes place at the GM Changwon plant in South Korea.

Dropping Blue Glow was a terrible idea. That extra-cost Marina Blue is HIDEOUS. The shocking blue color on the ’24s didn’t sell, so they do this???
Bring back Orange!
I own a 2022 Chevrolet Spark 1LT in an orange shade, cayenne really pops and shine in sunny days condition.
I have a 2024 Blue Glow Metallic LT and it’s stunning, especially so in direct sunlight. I fully loaded my LT and with the exception of a power seat, it’s an Activ without the bling and ugly wheels. Or the 2RS (and RS), the Rally “Sport,” the sports car trim without exhaust tips. Or at least one…
Being the least popular of the upgrade trims, dropping the color makes the Blue Glow LT the most unique trim/appearance of them all, unlikely to be duplicated.
“Oh, look. There’s an Cacti Green Acitv over there.” Yawn.
