The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado represents the sixth model year of the fourth-generation pickup range, for which Silverado Light-Duty receives minor changes.
Meanwhile, the 2024 Silverado Heavy-Duty models (2500 HD and 3500 HD) received a mid-cycle refresh, including new front and rear end designs, a new interior, along with powertrain updates. It’s worth noting that this refresh was originally scheduled for the 2023 model year, however, the product cycle is behind due to complications brought on by COVID-19 and a shortage of superconductor chips.
The 2024 Medium-Duty Silverado 4500 HD, 5500 HD, and 6500 HD trucks, on the other hand, received minor changes and updates.

Platform
- The 2024 Silverado Light Duty rides on the GM T1 platform. Otherwise known as GMT-T1 or T1XX, the architecture is designed for pickup trucks and body-on-frame SUVs.
- The 2024 Silverado Heavy-Duty rides on a variant of the GM T1 platform modified for heavy duty pickup trucks.
- The Chevrolet Silverado Medium-Duty pickup trucks utilize a platform that was jointly developed by Navistar and General Motors. The Silverado 4500, 5500, and 6500 do not ride on the T1 platform or K2 platform, which are utilized by third and fourth-generation Silverado 1500, 2500, and 3500 models, respectively.

- Six-passenger configuration: this setup features a 40/20/40 split bench seat in the front row (providing seating for three), along with a 60/40 bench seat in the second row (seating three), resulting in a 3-3 seating configuration
