The Chevy Silverado 1500 was refreshed for the 2022.5 model year, with the forthcoming 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 set to introduce the sixth model year for the current fourth generation. The 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 will usher in only a handful of updates and changes over the preceding 2023 model year, but among these will be a few important pricing differences. Now, GM Authority has uncovered pricing details for the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500, as outlined here.
As was the case for previous model years, the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 offers a wide range of trim levels and configurations. The trim level lineup includes WT (Work Truck), Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, ZR2, ZR2 Bison, LTZ, and finally, High Country. The configurations on offer include Regular Cab / Standard Bed, Regular Cab / Long Bed, Double Cab, Crew Cab / Short Bed, and Crew Cab / Standard Bed.
A wide variety of powertrain options will be available as well, including the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine (now carrying the new TurboMax branding), the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, and finally, the 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine.
Critically, the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 will also be equipped with the revised Hydra-Matic 8L80 eight-speed automatic transmission (RPO code MFC) when cradling the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine. Also equipped by the all-new 2023 Chevy Colorado, the Hydra-Matic 8L80 eight-speed automatic is a considerable improvement over the much-maligned M5T transmission offered previously, the latter of which was the subject of multiple lawsuits. The other three engines in the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 engine lineup will once again pair with the GM 10-speed automatic transmission.

Compared to the previous model year, WT trims are now $500 more expensive, High Country trims are now $600 more expensive, and ZR2 and ZR2 Bison prices are down $1,600. The price drop for ZR2 and ZR2 Bison models is due to the fact that the LZ0 engine is now fitted as standard, whereas the more-expensive L87 was previously fitted as standard.
Further changes include Phone Projection (RPO code PPW) and OnStar and Chevrolet Connected Services (RPO code UE1) now fitted as standard on WT, while Adaptive Cruise Control (RPO code KSG) is now standard on High Country, hence the price increase for each respective trim. Adaptive Cruise Control was previously included with the Technology Package (RPO code CWM).
As a reminder, the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 rides on the GM T1 platform, with production taking place at the GM Fort Wayne plant in Indiana, the GM Oshawa plant in Canada, and the GM Silao plant in Mexico.

Been waiting for this.
When will we be able to build & price the 2024 LTZ 4 x4 Crew Cab?
I was able to place an order for a 2024 RST 4×4 in the last week of June at my dealer. They were given their first allocations that week for 2024’s. They told me late September for a delivery time frame?
FWIW, my 2020 MSRP base price was $50,200 as compared above to $62,395 which equates to an average increase of 6% per year. Regardless, I still have sticker shock. Especially when one considers dealer rebates, cash back offers are non existent now and I benefited in 2020 from approximately a $10,000 reduction in price from incentives. So the “real” increased cost to buy has more to do with lack of incentives than an increase in sticker price. Yes, call me spoiled and you would be correct.
GrouBil,
Enjoy your 2020! Take care of your deal! Nice truck!
Kind of strange that this gen Silverado will be a year further into its lifecycle than the total life span of the previous gen with no signs of a new (ICE) truck coming anytime soon.
2027 is what I’ve heard.
Wasn’t the 2014-2018 just a substantial refresh of the 2007-2013 as opposed to a fully brand new design?
They have been limiting production to keep prices high. Also to make the price difference between ICE trucks not look as bad to get a EV trucks. All a scam.
Only offer a reg cab in base trim w/o short box. Can get a Ford XLT in that configuration w/4×4 @ 5.0. Still don’t understand why anyone would want to buy a chevy with an outdated 5.3 pushrod OHV engine for what they charge for their pickups
