About Cadillac Escalade

The 2023 Cadillac Escalade introduces the third model year for the latest fifth-generation luxury SUV, debuting a variety of important changes and updates. The biggest is the introduction of the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V, a new high-performance variant that boasts the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine, rated at 682 horsepower and 653 pound-feet of torque. Output is routed through the same updated GM 10-speed automatic transmission and fed to a four-wheel drive system, yielding a sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. Upgraded brakes and Magnetic Ride Control suspension with special tuning help to keep it all under control.

The 2023 Escalade also adds a new Surround Vision Recorder system, standard on all trim levels, plus expanded driving coverage for GM’s Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assistance feature, and return of the Brembo Performance Brake Package.

Prototype of the upcoming 2025 Cadillac Escalade-V ESV refresh with 24-inch wheels

While the 2024 Cadillac Escalade was originally expected to introduce a mid-cycle enhancement for both SUVs, GM Authority has learned that the refresh has been delayed to the 2025 model year, or possibly even later. According to GM Authority sources, in addition to exterior styling revisions, the refreshed Escalade will feature a full-width, pillar-to-pillar infotainment display panel similar to that of the Cadillac Celestiq ultra-luxury sedan. In fact, the refreshed 2025 Cadillac Escalade interior shows a copy-paste from the Escalade IQ.

Meanwhile, the 2024 Cadillac Escalade gets standard Super Cruise on most trim levels, and the 2024 Escalade-V will get 20th Anniversary features to celebrate two decades of the Cadillac V-Series sub-brand. Additionally, the 2024 Escalade drops the Mahogany Metallic paint color, but adds Black Diamond Tricoat on the Escalade-V, which gets also its first-ever 24-inch wheels.

First-ever all-electric 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ

GM recently debuted the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ, the first-ever all-electric full-size SUV from the luxury marque. Highlights of the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ include streamlined styling, a tech-heavy feature list, 55-inch infotainment screen, and 450 miles of range with 750 horsepower on tap. Production is slated to kick off next year. Compare dimensions of the 2025 Escalade IQ vs. ICE Escalade.
