2024 Cadillac Escalade To Get Full-Width Display Panel

The fifth-generation Cadillac Escalade got its big debut for the 2021 model year, with the upcoming 2024 Cadillac Escalade set to introduce a refresh for the iconic luxury SUV. Now, GM Authority has learned a critical detail of the Cadillac Escalade refresh related to the infotainment system. According to GM Authority sources, the 2024 Cadillac Escalade will feature a full-width, pillar-to-pillar infotainment display panel similar to that of the Cadillac Celestiq ultra-luxury sedan.

Critically, this coincides with recent spy images that show what appears to be a pillar-to-pillar screen hiding under some camo covers.

For those readers who may be unaware, the Cadillac Celestiq is equipped with a 55-inch digital display screen that stretches across the dash. The display incorporates a number of digital readouts into a single cohesive unit, including the driver instrument cluster, the infotainment system touchscreen, as well as a passenger-side display.

Although exact details on the screen that will be equipped by the 2024 Cadillac Escalade have yet to be revealed, the Cadillac Celestiq’s mammoth 55-incher includes highlights like 8K pixel density and Digital Blinds Active Privacy technology that dims the passenger-side screen from the driver’s view. The screen shows both driver and shared vehicle information, while the passenger side enables occupants to play media, connect to the Internet, connect their smartphone, and similar features.

Meanwhile, the 2024 Cadillac Escalade will ditch the two-tier 38-inch OLED screen introduced with the debut of the fifth generation for the 2021 model year. Further changes will likely include things like a repositioned transmission lever and other changes to the control layout.

In addition, the 2024 Cadillac Escalade will introduce a new exterior design, with GM Authority sources indicating that the 2024 Cadillac Escalade Sport will incorporate styling influences from the high-performance Cadillac Escalade-V. As such, GM Authority went ahead and rendered what the new Escalade might look like.

Going forward the 2024 Cadillac Escalade will begin production this November, so stay tuned. In the meantime, subscribe to GM Authority for more Cadillac Escalade news, Cadillac news, and around-the-clock GM news coverage.

  1. If having your cell phone in your car is a distraction wouldn’t having to look at your entire dashboard be a major distraction

    1. Agree. Use to be able to reach over and turn a knob or push a button by touch. Now the driver needs to take eyes off the road or risk activating a feature you don’t want triggered. But not to worry, I won’t be spending those kind of $$$,$$$ for a vehicle anyway.

    2. Dave you do have a valid point. Time will tell. The 70’s caddy’s were so easy and simple to drive. No to change the radio you have to change all the screen apps.

  3. If looking at the interior of your vehicle an interior that you see every time you get in your vehicle is more important than safety you should not be driving . It’s a reason why cars come with heads up display . Because looking down at the speedometer is something people prefer not to do.
