As part of the brand’s long-awaited global expansion with the right-hand drive Lyriq, General Motors has just officially announced the all-new 2025 Cadillac Lyriq with right-hand drive in Japan.
The automaker’s Japanese subsidiary announced the new 2025 Cadillac Lyriq RHD as a prelude to the imminent introduction of the electric crossover in the Asian country’s domestic market, scheduled for early in the new calendar year. Cadillac Japan has started a communication campaign announcing the right-hand-drive Cadillac Lyriq on the brand’s official website where it invites customers to subscribe to get all the details.
“Cadillac’s first electric vehicle, the Cadillac Lyriq, will be available in the Japanese market in spring 2025, delivering a new era of luxury, cutting-edge technology and zero emissions,” said Cadillac Japan. “This next-generation electric vehicle not only offers the latest technology, but also premium craftsmanship and a comfortable driving experience. It also features advanced design and performance that supports a sustainable future,” the brand added.
Notably, the new 2025 Cadillac Lyriq is Cadillac’s first all-electric vehicle to leave the factory in right-hand drive and the brand’s first model to be announced with that required configuration in the Japanese market. As such, the 2025 Lyriq RHD ushers in a new era in Cadillac Japan’s strategy of offering a combination of luxury attributes, cutting-edge technology and zero emissions to the country’s most discerning customers.
In this regard, the marketing campaign for the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq RHD in Japan started on December 20th and is called “Cadillac Lyriq Hand Raiser.” The luxury brand claims that interested users who subscribe on the website will be the first to receive the latest news about the model’s arrival in the country, including detailed information about the Lyriq’s features, invitations to VIP events, exclusive offers, and more.
The 2025 Cadillac Lyriq RHD will be officially introduced in Japan in early spring next year, when the model’s official launch event is scheduled to take place in Tokyo, where Cadillac will begin a new marketing strategy in the Japanese market. As with Australia and New Zealand, right-hand-drive 2025 Lyriq units for the Asian country will be built at GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.
