The GM Authority Take
In addition to representing the fourth consecutive increase in monthly sales volume, the growth in GM Mexico sales during July represents the automaker’s best performance in recent years in the Latin American country, as the most recent Chevrolet vehicle launches are enjoying a high level of interest and demand. In fact, the Bow Tie brand was the best-selling automobile brand in the Mexican market in Mexico in July for the first time in recent history, displacing Nissan – which has led the Mexican automotive industry in terms of sales volume for decades.
The impressive growth in GM Mexico sales in July was once again led by the Chevy Tracker, which posted a dramatic triple-digit increase that makes the crossover the company’s best-selling vehicle for the second consecutive month. The Tracker once again set a new sales record in Mexico with 2,621 deliveries in July, surpassing the 2,237 units of Chevy’s typically best-selling model – the Chevy Aveo.
Similarly, GM Mexico also saw significant increases in the Chevy Captiva, Onix and domestically-manufactured GMC Terrain, while the recently-launched Chevy Groove, Tornado Van and S10 Max, added incremental sales.

Comments
Alex, the Captiva is not “domestically manufactured”, as it is imported from China. It is the Bajoun 530.
The Onix is now made in China and exported to Mexico. Perhaps the sales are now mixed between the last Onixes made in Mexico and the first Onixes made in China.
I believe you have posted both in prior notes early in the year.
The “domestically manufactured” phrase corresponds to GMC Terrain. Thanks for noticing the bug!
The tracker premiers sold for around 20K in Mexico. the trax was almost 5K more in most cases. you have to wonder what corners are being cut, or is it just that they are being built in China for mexico? Weird
