Chevrolet Chile sales increased six percent to 3,529 units in July 2022. The figures place Chevrolet as the country’s second best-selling automobile brand during the month, behind Toyota.

The GM Authority Take

The healthy increase in Chevrolet Chile sales during July represents the second consecutive month of growth for the brand in the South American country, after the slight increase registered in June. Last month’s solid performance was due to a notable improvement in the inventory of Chevrolet vehicles manufactured in Brazil, which GM exports to the Chilean market.

The volume improvement was driven by noteworthy performance of the Chevy Tracker, which was once again the Bow Tie brand’s best-selling model in the local market, accumulating 5,193 deliveries year-to-date. This marks the third consecutive time that the Tracker has led Chevy sales on a monthly basis, becoming the second best-selling vehicle in the Chilean market. Also noteworthy are the healthy gains made by the Chevy Colorado/S10 and the N-Series truck lineup.

Chevy Sail

In contrast, the Chevy Sail, which used to lead sales by a long margin, continues to lose ground, seeing the biggest drop among Chevrolet models during the month.
