In the United States, GMC Terrain deliveries totaled 27,259 units in Q2 2024, an increase of about 38 percent compared to 19,697 units sold in Q2 2023.In the first six months of the year, Terrain sales increased about 31 percent to 49,123 units.

In Mexico, GMC Terrain deliveries totaled 509 units in Q2 2024, a decrease of about 12 percent compared to 580 units sold in Q2 2023.In the first six months of the year, Terrain sales decreased about 1 percent to 1,133 units.

GMC Terrain sales during Q2 2024 kept the Professional Grade brand’s compact crossover in 11th place among 15 entries in the mainstream C-segment crossover segment when ranked by sales volume, up a spot from the previous quarter.
Leading as before, the Toyota RAV4 posted a 21 percent bump in sales year-over-year to 123,473 units. The Honda CR-V followed in second place with a five percent uptick to 101,166 units, still over 22K deliveries behind Toyota but nearly double those of the Chevy Equinox. The Equinox (see running Chevy Equinox sales), the Terrain’s corporate cousin and D2 platform mate, moved up into took third, with sales down just over one percent to 52,270 units. The Nissan Rogue placed fourth with a 29 percent drop to 50,356 units. The Hyundai Tucson, one of two models here from the Hyundai-Kia conglomerate, followed in fifth with a 14 percent downturn to 46,637 units, while the Subaru Forester took sixth with a 43 percent jump to 44,303 units. The Kia Sportage, the Tucson’s corporate cousin, placed seventh with a six percent bump for 42,567 deliveries. The Ford Escape (see running Ford Escape sales), one of two entries from The Blue Oval, took eighth with a 13 percent slip to 37,943 units, and the Mazda CX-5 placed ninth also with a 13 percent slide to 35,869 units. The Ford Bronco Sport (see running Ford Bronco Sport sales) took tenth place with a 15 percent decrease for 28,189 deliveries. The Terrain (see running GMC Terrain sales) maintained 11th place with a 38 percent upswing to 27,259 units, and the VW Tiguan saw sales increase 11 percent to take 12th, moving 21,038 units. The remaining three entries combined for 14,139 deliveries.

The Terrain earned a four percent market share in its segment, up one percentage point year-over-year. The RAV4 led with a 20 percent segment share, up four percentage points, while the CR-V earned a 16 percent segment share, up one percentage point, and the Equinox maintained an eight share. The Rogue posted an eight percent share, down three percentage points. The Tucson, Forester, and Sportage each held a seven percent share, down two, up two, and up one percentage point, respectively. Meanwhile, the Escape and CX-5 both earned a six percent share, each up one percentage point. The Bronco Sport maintained a five percent share, and the Tiguan maintained a three percent share. The other three models each held a two percent share or less.
Chevy Equinox sales combined with the GMC Terrain totaled 72,646 deliveries, giving GM a 12 percent share of the segment.

Sakes of mainstream C-segment crossovers were essentially flat for 625,209 deliveries during Q2 2024, meaning that GMC Terrain sales significantly outperformed the segment average.

Sales of the GMC Terrain started the year rebounding from the previous quarter and continue that trend in an even stronger fashion now that we are halfway through the year.
We expect future sales to get a boost from the upcoming all-new Terrain.

Closeout sales. Enjoy it while you can because it’s not going to last much longer. And then sales will fall. The compact CUV class as a whole is sucking on some pretty bitter cherries these days. Can’t think of a single one that I’d be goo-goo over.
I’d never goo goo over a CUV anyways, but they are great DD’s. This just shows the 1.5 in most cases isn’t a problem with buyers…

Like embedded Nav. Not many vehicles offer it. Will look at Nox and Terrain redesigns in a couple years after 1st adopters workout the usual “new design issues”.
Wanted an XT4 but couldn’t get past the Kenworth marker lights.
Saved more then $10K by “settling” for the Terrain .
