The German Autobahn, renowned for its stretches of unrestricted speed, stands as one of the few places on Earth where drivers can push their vehicles to the absolute extreme of their capabilities. No surprise then that this motorway provides the perfect backdrop to showcase the automotive prowess of a supercharged C6 Chevy Corvette Grand Sport. Now, we’re watching as one intrepid reviewer shoots for 200 mph, as seen in the following video.
In the video, recently posted by AutoTopNL, we see the host pin the throttle in this C6 Corvette to reach an eye-widening 194 mph. Of course, that sort of velocity necessitates a little extra juice under the hood.
Originally equipped with the naturally aspirated 6.2L LS3 V8 engine, this particular Corvette has been enhanced with a ProCharger supercharger, boosting output to an estimated 625 horsepower, nearly matching output from the C6-generation Corvette ZR1. This particular supercharger is ProCharger’s P-1SC-1 model.
Behind the polished five-spoke wheels, you’ll find six-piston brakes and four-piston calipers in the rear, clamping down on drilled brake discs. Michelin Pilot 4S tires provide the stick, sized at 325 in the rear. This particular model also features upgraded KW suspension components, while inside the cabin, we find suede interior upholstery, as well as new thick-rimmed steering wheel with a flat-bottom lower half.
The video starts with a brief exterior walkaround, followed by a look at the LS3 V8 engine. We then get a review of the interior and what the car feels like to drive on some backroads. Around the 11-minute mark, we hit the Autobahn, giving the driver a chance to really open it up. Watching the speedometer rise with ease as the throttle hits the carpet, it’s clear this machine is perfectly at home on the unrestricted sections of this world-famous roadway.

Nice!
The best American sportscar for 70 years!
oh yeah! sweet sound of a v8 in the morning
When I was a teenager, and later, I dreamed of someday being on a stretch of unlimited autobahn in something fast. I finally made it 2019. Unfortunately, not in the Vette. I was in an almost new Nissan Diesel Juke. With about a 3 mile run it would just touch 158 kph (98 mph). Not exactly my autobahn dream. At least I was passing the trucks.
So jealous, I have a 2012 Callaway dyno’d at 660hp and I would love to top it out. We need an Autobahn in the US.
Nice car! I have a 13MY Grand Sport 3LT convertible, same color and gray hash marks. Can’t imagine ever getting it to 200 mph. 😎
