After several months of wondering if the Cadillac CT4 would survive to see the 2025 model year, General Motors confirmed that the luxury sedan would indeed return for at least one more model year. That being said, the 2025 Cadillac CT4-V received a shuffling of paint colors, and today, we’re taking a look at what hues will no longer be on offer.
There are three paint colors that will be dropped after the 2024 CT4 concludes production, including (relevant color code in parenthesis):
- Black Diamond Tricoat (GLK) – one-year-only color celebrating 20 years of V-Series
- Midnight Steel Metallic (GXU) – introduced for the 2023 model year
- Velocity Red (G7C) – introduced for the 2024 model year
In their place, these three paint shades will be replaced by three others, consisting of (relevant color code in parenthesis):
- Deep Space Metallic (GAI)
- Drift Metallic (GAE)
- Typhoon Metallic (GBW)
It’s worth noting that the higher-performance Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is losing four paint colors and gaining three others for the 2025 model year.
As a reminder, the Cadillac CT4’s bigger brother – the Cadillac CT5 – received a mid-cycle refresh for the 2025 model year that features updated exterior styling and an overhauled interior. While it may stand to reason that the CT4 would also receive such a revision for an upcoming model year, General Motors has not given an indiction that this will happen thus far. As such, the 2025 Cadillac CT4 will boast just minor updates over the preceding 2024 model.
Under the hood, the 2025 Cadillac CT4-V will be powered by the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine, rated at 325 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque, while the GM 10-speed automatic transmission will handle the shifting duties.
In regard to structure, the CT4 rides on the GM Alpha 2 platform, which it shares with the aforementioned CT5. Meanwhile, North American production of the 2025 model year is currently scheduled to kick off on June 3rd, 2024 at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.

what is gm doing??? Replacing free paint colors with the $600-$1250 upcharge colors?
How about some pics of the new colors? No clue of what those paint colors name mean.
Any word on whether it will at least receive a larger infotainment screen like the CT5-V? Other than that, I don’t even think any changes are really necessary, but that’s a biggie.
GM Cadillac makes nothing but junk. Have a 24 Cadillac ct4 is nothing but junk. The paint does not match the chart on the road at 70it shimies .Called Cadillac and talked to a woman named Kelly in the executive dept which was useless. I told her sit back and just collect your fat bonus.Go foreign and buy a Acura at least that comes with a spare tire.Never will buy GM again and I bought GM almost all my life but never again.
What types of issues did you have with your CT4? I’m looking to buy a 2025 CT4.
