Way back in September 2022, GM Authority reported that the GMC Yukon was unavailable to order with several of its 22-inch wheel offerings. With that mind, one of these 22-inch rollers is able to be ordered on Big Red’s full-size SUV once again after a roughly two-year hiatus.
GM Authority has learned that the LPO, or dealer-installed, 22-inch Multi-spoke Chrome wheel (RPO code SF2) option is available to be ordered on the Yukon once more. Notably, this feature had been under constraint since May 2022 and was subsequently unavailable near the end of the 2022 model year, throughout the entire 2023 model year, and into the 2024 model year.
Available for an extra $3,795, these wheels are offered on the SLE, SLT, Denali and Denali Ultimate trim levels, but not the AT4 trim.
As background, when buyers opt for these wheels, the GMC Yukon in question ships from the factory on 22-inch steel transit wheels, with alignment specifications set to 22 inches. Once the dealership installs the 22-inch Multi-spoke Chrome wheels on the full-size SUV, the transit wheels get shipped back to the factory.
As a reminder, the current GMC Yukon is powered by a wide variety of powerplant options, including the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, rated at 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, rated at 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, and the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine, rated at 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
In regard to transmission, the GM 10-speed automatic transmission handles the cog swaps for all engine choices.
Under the body panels, the full-size SUV is underpinned by the GM T1 platform, while production takes place at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.
Moving ahead, the 2025 GMC Yukon is expected to receive a mid-cycle refresh that will bring about updates to the exterior styling, interior appointment and powertrain lineup.
