Stefan Parsons has signed to drive the No. 75 NASCAR Chevy Silverado RST in the 2024 Truck Series, joining forces with Henderson Motorsports, according to a report from Jayski.
Parsons, who is the son of Phil Parsons, a former racer himself and current broadcaster, currently has 11 starts in the Truck Series, with a best finish of 17th earned at Bristol Motor Speedway in 2018. In 2023, he competed in three Truck Series races, with a best finish of 28th at Pocono. He also has quite a few Xfinity Series races under his belt, with a best finish of 8th – also at Bristol – in 2022.
“I’m so excited for the opportunity to drive the Henderson Motorsports No. 75 Chevrolet this season in the NASCAR Truck Series. I’m looking forward to representing Food Country USA,” Parsons said in a post on social media.
As for Parsons’ NASCAR Chevy team, Henderson Motorsports, the organization has quite a bit of history. Opened as a part-time team in 1982, the team focused mainly on the sport’s mid-tier division, now known as the Xfinity Series. Henderson Motorsports fielded cars for well-known NASCAR names such as Morgan Shepherd, Geoffrey Bodine and Ward Burton, among others.
Henderson Motorsports took a break from racing for several years before fielding the No. 75 NASCAR Chevy in 2012 as a part-time entry. The team qualified for 32 races between 2012 and 2016, earning two top 10s. In 2017, Parker Kligerman competed in the No. 75 Silverado, earning the team’s first victory at Talladega Superspeedway. Since then, Sam Mayer, current driver of the No. 1 Camaro in the Xfinity Series, drove the No. 75 Silverado in select events, as did Sean Hingorani.
The No. 75 Silverado will likely compete as a part-time entry in 2024. As of this writing, Henderson Motorsports has not revealed Parsons’ full schedule, but has confirmed that he will race in the season opener at Daytona International Speedway on February 16th, 2024.
