The GM Authority Take
The triple-digit increase in Chevrolet Brazil sales to 30,558 units during August represent the Bow Tie’s highest month in terms of sales volume thus far in 2022 in the Brazilian market. In addition, August represented Chevy’s second consecutive month of triple-digit gains as well as the fifth consecutive monthly sales volume increase in Brazil. But despite the healthy increase, Chevy fell to third place among the best-selling automobile brands during the month, overtaken by Fiat and Volkswagen.
The impressive Chevy Brazil sales performance during August was led by the Chevy Onix, which saw spectacular four-digit growth, with the 18,789 units representing its highest monthly sales record so far in 2022. The popular subcompact car range reclaimed its spot as Brazil’s best-selling vehicle by a wide margin on recovered inventory levels, representing a substantial improvement over the previous year, which was significantly impacted by a five-month-long production stoppage.
The Chevy Tracker also stood out, recording significant sales gains and positioning itself as Brazil’s best-selling crossover. In addition, the Chevy Spin posted a notable increase, accompanying the marque’s two best-sellers by staying in the green on a year-over-year basis.

Comments
Mean while you gotta special order a pickup or Tahoe because “America first right”. Instead of sending parts to another country you should concentrate on your home front! 🤬🤬🤬
In what context does the mention of sending parts to “another” country fit this news regarding sales of the brand in Brazil?
You can’t get a car ordered n delivered but they taking parts that could build AMERICAN cars!! Build cars for here instead of another country!! That enough context for you moron?
If you look at the Chevrolet line made in Brazil, you’ll see that it has virtually nothing to do with the line sold in the United States, except for the old Colorado platform.
The brand’s line in that region has never been so close to the North American line, as they were always related to European projects and more recently to specific projects for emerging markets.
Therefore, this “shipping parts to other countries” does not make much sense as there is no sharing of components with locally manufactured vehicles.
