About Chevrolet Trax
GM debuted the next-generation 2024 Chevy Trax in late 2022 as the Bow Tie’s new entry-level crossover. It is now the brand’s most affordable model. The Trax incorporates Chevy’s latest ICE-based design language, taking after the Chevy Blazer crossover.
The new 2024 Chevy Trax is roomier than the preceding model and offers more safety features and tech, including six advanced safety and driver awareness technologies via Chevy Safety Assist and a standard eight-inch diagonal infotainment screen. It offers five trim levels, including 1LS, 1RS, 1LT, 2RS, and Activ. The LT, 2RS, and Activ trims get an 11-inch screen. Active Noise Cancellation and Adaptive Cruise Control are offered on most trims.
The 2024 Chevy Trax’s turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH engine develops 137 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 162 pound-feet of torque at 2,500 to 4,000 rpm. Additionally, the 2024 Trax boasts improved fuel economy over the previous-generation 2022 Chevy Trax.
Furthermore, the 2024 Chevy Trax offers a new Blackout Package and new roof rack cross rails.
The 2025 Chevy Trax debuts the second model year for the nameplate’s second generation, ushering in a few critical updates and changes. That includes two new paint colors and an E85-compatible engine, making it a flex fuel-capable vehicle. Here are all the 2025 Trax wheels offered, along with exterior paint colors and interior colorways.
Uncovered pricing for the 2025 Trax shows a slight price increase for some trim levels compared to the previous year, with the 1RS and LT being $200 more expensive and the 2RS and Activ being $400 pricier. Check out all the 2025 Trax pricing with options and packages.

When you can easily find a $24K Kia Soul for $20K and a $25K Nissan Kicks for $20K, suddenly the Trax no longer looks like such a sweet deal.
I’ll take the Trax over those monstrosities even if the Trax is a little more pricey. It’s leaps and light years better than those two.
The Trax is better than either one of those, even before taking the price into consideration. Why is it ok to get foreign cars for less than sticker with no care about resale or depreciation, but if a GM car is discounted everyone whines about it and says that GM can’t sell them without the discount? I paid sticker for mine. Everyone I’ve talked to has paid sticker price for their Trax. It’s worth it. Couldn’t pay me to drive a KIA or a Kicks.
When you consider the Trax has more standard content and more available technology. Plus, it is the only offering in the class with an actual transmission, it is still a good deal.
…and when you consider the Trax is better looking and the screens don’t look like an afterthought….
My payment is lower than either lease rate….and I can drive as much as I want.
