In February 2024, a GMC Canyon lease program continues to be available nationwide on the 2023 GMC Canyon, along with local market leases on 2023 and 2024 GMC Canyon units. However, no other discounts or incentives are offered on the next-generation premium midsize pickup truck.

A GMC Canyon lease program is available in February 2024. Shown here is the GMC Canyon Denali.

About GMC Canyon

In August 2022, GM unveiled the all-new 2023 GMC Canyon as the fresh, third generation of the midsize pickup, featuring revised exterior styling, an overhauled cabin, a new powertrain, and a range of tech goodies. It also introduced the first-ever 2023 GMC Canyon AT4X, available with an exclusive Edition 1 package.

In total there are four trim levels available, including Elevation, AT4, AT4X, and Denali.

The 2023 GMC Canyon was among NACTOY’s “Best of 2024” as one of five semifinalist trucks in the Truck of the Year category, with the Canyon joined by the Chevy Colorado and Chevy Silverado EV.

The first-ever 2024 GMC Canyon AT4X AEV Edition debuted this past summer, offering up a next-level off-roader complete with tons of trail-ready upgrades over the standard 2023 Canyon AT4X, framed as “the most advanced and capable Canyon ever.” Furthermore, the 2024 Canyon AT4X and AT4X AEV Edition will both get a new launch control feature as part of their Baja Mode, improving performance both on-road and off-road.

Additionally, the 2024 Canyon gets GM’s TurboMax engine branding as the name, going forward, of the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine in the High-Output tune. That is the sole powertrain offered on all 2023 and 2024 Canyon trims.

2024 GMC Canyon pricing with options and packages shows that the starting prices of the Elevation and AT4 trims become $800 less expensive than the 2023 model year because the Three Years of OnStar & Connected Services Plan is no longer standard. It was replaced with the more affordable Three Years of OnStar Remote Access Plan – which only provides access via the myGMC app.

The AT4X trim level becomes $1,100 less expensive as well, for the same reason as above, while the AT4X AEV Edition is $1,150 costlier than last year’s AT4X Edition 1. Meanwhile, the Denali’s starting price is unchanged for the new model year, as the Three Years of OnStar & Connected Services Plan is standard on that trim.

However, the Denali does get a $100 bump in the destination freight charge, which applies across the board for the 2024 model year. Notably, all prices changes listed above include the DFC increase.

Production of the 2024 GMC Canyon kicked off in January at the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri.

  3. As man, so sad. Truck is made, sell the things. I’ve been holding off from buying for a year now, went in to my dealership 2\20\24 to see if I could hook up with a truck hopefully driving home with one then I get the info they don’t have any and I would have to order and if I do, it could take up to 90 days to receive, i’m obligated even if the truck came in and I didn’t like it. Also, that if a truck happens to be sent, it has to be sold before another one is sent in. Who does business like that? If you have the truck made, add on what customer wants and send it in.

  4. Junk! Don’t buy. My 23 Canyon needs new axles at 3700 miles due to TSB 23-na-208. Been waiting for 2 months and no ETA. Run away!
