GM unveiled the all-new third-gen 2023 GMC Canyon in August, debuting a long list of changes and updates for the midsize pickup. Now, interested customers and fans can spec the 2023 GMC Canyon to taste using the official online configurator tool at GMC’s website.
Among the highlights of the third-gen 2023 GMC Canyon is the introduction of the new, even-more-capable Canyon AT4X off-roader, which incorporates an array of rough stuff goodies for confidence on the trail. Onboard features for the AT4X include off-road suspension with a 3-inch factory lift and ultra-wide stance, front and rear lockers, 17-inch wheels wrapped in 33-inch MT tires, Multimatic DSSV dampers, and underbody skid plates, as well as available underbody cameras to help spot potential hazards.
The rest of the lineup is composed of the GMC Canyon Elevation, AT4, and Denali. The exterior of the 2023 GMC Canyon stands out thanks to revised styling, as well as new exterior dimensions that are wider and taller than the previous generation. LED exterior lighting is also offered.
The cabin space is equipped as standard with an 8-inch digital instrument cluster for Elevation and AT4 trim levels, while an 11-inch instrument cluster is included for the Denali and AT4X. Onboard tech features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, plus Google Built-in (Google Automotive Services), while safety features include Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking with Bicyclist Detection, Intellibeam auto high beams, and more.
With regard to what’s under the hood, the 2023 GMC Canyon runs the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine as standard, specifically the 2.7L Turbo High Output tune, which is rated at 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. The GM 8-speed automatic transmission handles cog swaps. The base-level 2023 GMC Canyon Elevation is available with either rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, while the AT4, AT4X, and Denali run four-wheel drive as standard.
Under the skin, the 2023 GMC Canyon rides on an updated version of the GMT 31XX platform. Production is set to kick off this coming January at the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri.

Hmmmm. Most vehicles are on the site, but the Canyon is not.
Go under future vehicles that is where build and price is for the New Canyon
Holy Moly, my new truck payment will be more than my house payment. Almost swallowed my gum. And it’s for a baby truck. :/
Canary yellow paint, awesome. They’ll see you in the dark.
What is Core tec seat material?
Basically vinyl seats, but a higher grade. So it looks a feels like leather is what i understand about it. I think its another name for Leatherette.
Let me know when they make 6′ bed version, I owned Diesel version now love it, ok with new motor, but 5′ bed is waste of a truck. Wont but another unless it’s 6′ bed
Does anyone know if the stated height of the AT4 of 79.8 includes the antennae? I need the roof height measurement to see if this will fit in my garage. I can buy a shorty antennae if need be.
No, it does not include the antenna. Just as the width measurements do not include mirrors.
The 2022 height is 70.6 and the 2023 is 79.8. How do they account for the 9” difference? 2 inch more ground clearance still leaves 7” difference. Sounds like the antenna is included in the 2023 measurement????
I went to the auto show with a tape measure. On the 2 inch lifted trucks it measures just under 72 inches to the roof line. The 79.8 is to the tip of the antenna. “Overall height ” means to the highest point of the truck which includes the antenna. I hope this helped
Disappointing packaging. Black only interior color choice on most every trim. Overpriced. And why does the base Elevation trim only come with black wheels? The black wheels should be an option. The Colorado has better looking wheels and more choices without being so restrictive making that the more sensible option.
Why such a massive price gap between the comparable trimmed Colorado’s?
Canadian pricing just came out. For a Denali with Sunroof, block heater, tow package and in Volcanic Red…. MSRP: 64,600.Ugh
Where did you find Canadian pricing as you can’t build on the Canadian site yet? Building on the US site and converting USD to CAD the MSRP is much more than 64k.
I work at a dealership, autobook was just updated today. Can’t to a straight conversion with the exchange rates as it would come in well over 70.still 64k is a $9500 price increase over the 2022 canyon Denali with black package that I just sold today.
