Following the introduction of the all-new third-generation GMC Canyon for the 2023 model year, the 2024 GMC Canyon introduces just a few updates, most notable of which is the Canyon AT4X AEV Edition. Now, GM Authority has complied all 2024 Canyon pricing details, including options and packages.
There are four trim levels available, including Elevation, AT4, Denali, and AT4X. The starting prices of the Elevation and AT4 trims become $800 less expensive than the 2023 model year because the Three Years of OnStar & Connected Services Plan (RPO code R9M) is no longer standard; it was replaced with the more affordable Three Years of OnStar Remote Access Plan (RPO code PRF) – which only provides access via the myGMC app.
The AT4X trim level becomes $1,100 less affordable, for the same reason as above, while the AT4X AEV Edition is $1,150 costlier than last year’s AT4X Edition 1. Meanwhile, the Denali’s starting MSRP is unchanged for the new model year, as the R9M is standard on that trim.
Finally, destination freight charges (DFC) are up $100 across the board to $1,595. Notably, all prices listed above include the DFC.

As a reminder, the third-gen GMC Canyon is offered exclusively with a single powertrain configuration, the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine rated at 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. The boosted four receives the TurboMax branding for the 2024 model year. RWD is standard fare on the starting Elevation trim level, and 4WD is optional on the Elevation and standard on AT4, AT4X and Denali trims.
In regard to structure, the Canyon rides on an updated variant of the GMT 31XX platform, while production takes place at the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri.

Okay, when will GM open the build and buy for the 2024 Canyon, They closed the 2023 year, but that’s all that’s available?
I have a canyon that was supposedly built but no other info on it is anyway I can find out or will it be changed to a 2024 if not built yet , if don’t hear something soon I’m changing my order to a 2024 Tacoma
I had a AT4 on order with a build date of 10/16, which got bumped to 11/20, but supposedly they stopped building the 2023 models in September, so assuming that they still build it, it should be a 2024? But the 2024 came with a few changes that I want like the 11″ view screen. I understand your frustration, and thought about the same thing,
until I found out that unless you want a severely under powered one, it will be June or July before the higher powered ones are coming out. What to do, What to do? Can’t even enter a new build yet?
If it had a build date that means VIN is made so it will be a 2023
Mine finally came in , after 6 months
I seriously cannot stress enough what a piss poor decision it has been to discontinue the optional 2.8l duramax Diesel from the Canyon and Colorado platforms!
The price point to move up to the full size to get the duramax is just not justifiable and the fuel economy on the gas engines is shameful.
In almost every other country in the world builds small diesel trucks and you were leading the pack with this option on these trucks and I am now ready to purchase my third Diesel Canyon and Just cannot bring myself to do it without the diesel…
I agree with you but at +.30c a litre for diesel here in canada the trade off in fuel economy is canceled due to the cost of the fuel.
One of GM’s ‘cash cows’. Pricing is too high for the vast majority of Americans.
Keep in mind that Mary Barra’s (CEO) compensation package for 2022 was in excess of 29 milion dollars. GM has literally BLOWN the launches of a number of vehicles the last few years. The C-8 Corvette launch was a disaster. The Z-06, GM came up with more excuses not to build the car than any previous launch. I guess if you contract a supplier for parts and then they can’t supply them then I guess we can just tell our customers they’ll have to wait.
That’s sounds BRILLIANT to me……
Why would anyone consider this to buy. A car wash will leave dents on the roof. A baby carriage is what this truck is. Plenty of tow hooks when you get stuck. No worries.
What. is the best Internet site to see when orders have opened up for the 2024 Colorado? And, yes, I want to keep tabs on my dealer.
I am concerned that GM has canceled orders for the 2023 Canyons not yet sent to production in order to start 2024 production. I placed an order end of March that ended up having to be reordered mid August because of parts shortage (sports bar package). it has been listed as accepted by GM waiting on production, to now showing not accepted by GM.
This site has the Desert Sand Metallic listed for the 2024 model, but my understanding is that it will not be an option for the 2024 models. My wife has her heart set on that color. I wouldn’t be opposed to waiting for the 2024 if that color is available. does anyone know for sure?
My Chevy guy said 2023 Colorado orders were cancelled. I hadn’t ordered yet as I am waiting on the 24 edition but it seemed that Colorado buyers had not been informed.
My “guy” said everything is good to go on the order, but this is also the gut that didn’t realize my order placed in March wasn’t accepted until August. i think your guy is right. ill keep my fingers crossed that Desert Sand color will be available on the 24 models.
A local dealer just told me the 2024 has not
started production yet.
Dec 10 my dealership told me to come in and order my 2024 Canyon that production HAD started.
He lied, production starts Jan 2, 2024. You can order though.
That’s good news. Is pricing available ?
I’ll find out tomorrow when I meet with them to order my Canyon. Not sure why they would have called me in to give them what I want if they don’t have pricing but this is GMC and they don’t have a lot of credibility lately.
I ordered one in Sept. I stopped by the dealer in nov and was told the order had been accepted…that’s it….I’m in canada BTW
Does anybody know if Wentzville is producing 2024 Canyons/Colorados yet???? If yes, when did they start production????
Thanks
It appears that production started this week the 15th, the assembly line had been Idle up to that time, but is running full capacity now.
Hope this helps,
My 24 Canyon Denali just went from 1100 to 2000. Does anyone know what these numbers mean? what other numbers will I see until the damn thing is built? Thanks
It means that GM accepted your order
I haven’t even heard of any dealer in NC with allocation to actually get a production date on a 2024 Canyon.
