Hennessey Releases 1,000-HP Exorcist Chevy Camaro ZL1 Final Edition: Video

If you’re looking to bring the heat to the Dodge Demon, then Hennessey’s Exorcist Chevy Camaro was built for the task. Unfortunately, with the pending discontinuation of the sixth-gen Chevy Camaro following the end of the 2024 model year, the Exorcist Chevy Camaro will be put to rest as well. However, before it goes, Hennessey will offer this – the Exorcist Chevy Camaro ZL1 Final Edition, as featured in the following brief video.

Hennessey says the Exorcist Chevy Camaro ZL1 Final Edition is aimed squarely at the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170, throwing down with 1,000 horsepower and 966 pound-feet of torque thanks to a long list of upgrades and modifications. Under the hood, you’ll once again find the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine, but now it’s fitted with a larger high-flow supercharger, a high-flow air induction system, an upgraded fuel system, new injectors, and a new fuel pump. The heads were also ported, a custom Hennessey cam was installed, and the valvetrain was upgraded as well.

Put it all together with a custom tune, and the end result is a 54-percent increase in horsepower and a 49-percent increase in torque, blessing the Exorcist Chevy Camaro ZL1 Final Edition with a 2.1-second 0-to-60 mph time and a quarter mile time of 9.57 seconds. Top speed is estimated at 217 mph.

“Our comprehensive upgrade to the Camaro ZL1 is one of my all-time favorites. The chassis, suspension, and powerplant work seamlessly together, so all the driver experiences is raw, unbridled horsepower,” says Hennessey founder and CEO, John Hennessey. “There’s nothing else like our Exorcist, so we’re eager to share this special limited edition with fans of this iconic car before it’s gone forever.”

Production will be limited at 57 units total, a nod to the first time the Chevy Camaro rolled off the production line 57 years ago.

Hennessey is highlighting the new Chevy Camaro ZL1 Final Edition in a new video showing the first example undergoing final validation at Hennessey’s test track. This particular model is finished in Rally Green Metallic, which was only offered for the 2020 model year. Check it out right here:
