The 2022 GMC Acadia receives the following changes and updates:
Model Line
- Deletion of SL trim level
Exterior
- Deletion of Red Mahogany Metallic exterior color option
- Addition of Light Stone Metallic exterior color option
- Deletion of four wheel options:
- 17-inch (43.2 cm) painted aluminum wheels (RSC)
- Was standard on base SL models for the 2021 model year
- 18-inch (45.7 cm) machined aluminum wheels (RD9)
- 20-inch (50.8 cm) machined aluminum wheels (Q9V)
- Only available on Elevation Edition models for the 2021 model year
- 20-inch bright machined-face wheels with Satin Graphite painted spokes and pockets (SHA)
- Available on SLE, SLT and Denali models for the 2021 model year
- LPO-level item
- 17-inch (43.2 cm) painted aluminum wheels (RSC)
- Addition of two near wheel options:
- 18-inch (45.7 cm) aluminum wheels (RQJ)
- This is the standard SLT wheel for the 2022 model year, and was not available at the start of production
- 20-inch (50.8 cm) aluminum wheels (QGY)
- Only available on Elevation Edition SLE and SLT models
- 18-inch (45.7 cm) aluminum wheels (RQJ)
- Addition of Thatchem wheel locks (LPO-level item)
Interior
- Deletion of Rear Park Assist
- Replaced with Front and Rear Park Assist combination feature, which is now standard on all 2022 Acadia models
- Rear Park Assist was standard on SL and SLE models for the 2021 model year, but was deleted when the GMC Pro Safety Plus package was ordered
- Deletion of 5-passenger seating configuration
- Was only available on AT4 models for the 2021 model year
- For the 2022 model year, 6-passenger seating (2-2-2) is standard on all models and 7-passenger (2-3-2) seating is available on all models
- Deletion of Cargo Management System
- For the 2021 model year, this feature was only available on AT4 models with 5-passenger seating configuration
- Deletion of rear air vents
- For the 2021 model year, this feature was only available on AT4 models with 5-passenger seating configuration
- Deletion of embroidered front row headrests (LPO-level item)
- For the 2021 model year, this feature was only available on SLE and SLT models
Mechanical
- Deletion of 2.5-liter LCV I4 engine
- For the 2021 model year this was the standard engine for SL and SLE models
- Corresponding 9-speed automatic transmission (M3H) is also deleted
- Deletion of single outlet exhaust
- Deletion of tire inflator kit
- Deletion of P245/65R17 all-season, H-rated, blackwall tires (QML)
- These tires were the standard tire for base SL models for the 2021 model year
- 2.0L LSY Turbo I4 engine is now standard on SLE FWD models
- Remains standard on SLE AWD and SLT models, and available on Denali models
- 3.6L LGX V6 engine is no longer available on SLE models
- Remains available on SLT models and standard on AT4 and Denali models
- Trailering Package is now available with 2.0L LSY Turbo I4 engine
- For the 2021 model year, this package was only available in conjunction with the 3.6L LGX V6 engine
- Traction Select is now standard on all equipment groups
- For the 2021 model year, this feature was only standard on SLE FWD models equipped with the 3.6L LGX V6 engine
- Dual outlet exhaust with bright tips are now standard on SLE
- For the 2021 model year, this feature was only available on SLE models
- Remains standard on all other models

- Deletion of Premium Package, which was available on SLT models and included:
- Luxury Package content
- Memory Package for power driver seat and outside mirrors
- 8-way power front passenger seat adjuster
- Outside heated power-adjustable power-folding body-color mirrors with driver-side auto-dimming with integrated turn signal indicators
- Power passenger lumbar control
- Heated and ventilated driver and front passenger seats
- Heated rear outboard seats
- Power tilt and telescopic steering column
- HD Surround Vision
- Luxury Package content
- GMC Pro Safety Plus is now standard on all trims, includes:
