Following the start of the Optiq’s marketing rollout in China at the beginning of April, General Motors’ SAIC-GM joint venture has just officially launched the all-new 2025 Cadillac Optiq in the Asian country.
The automaker’s main business arm in China launched the all-new 2025 Cadillac Optiq in the local market during the 2024 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (Auto China), the country’s largest automotive event. The company outlined the configurations of the 2025 Optiq for that market and announced that Cadillac’s new electric crossover is now arriving in dealerships.
The all-new 2025 Cadillac Optiq is launching in the Chinese market in two variants called “Standard” and “Long Range,” mainly referring to the powertrain differences, each with its own combination of Ultium Battery modules and Ultium Drive motors. Aesthetically, the base Standard is equivalent to the Luxury equipment level, while the Long Range has an appearance typical of the range-topping Sport trim.
Specifically, the Standard version of the all-new 2025 Cadillac Optiq for China is equipped with a single Ultium Drive motor mounted on the front axle that develops 180 kW or 241 horsepower and 330 Nm or 243 pound-feet of torque. The motor is fed by a 68.4 kWh battery pack providing a driving range of 536 km or 333 miles on a full charge, according to the China Light-duty vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC).
The Long Range variant of the 2025 Cadillac Optiq comes standard with all-wheel drive, comprised of an electric motor on each axle that generate a combined 211 kW or 283 horsepower and 465 Nm or 343 pound-feet of torque. This better-equipped configuration includes a 79.7 kWh Ultium Battery pack with a CLTC-approved range of 600 km or 373 miles. Both Optiq variants include an exhaustive list of class-leading technology and safety features.
The all-new 2025 Cadillac Optiq is now available for sale throughout the exclusive network of Cadillac IQ stores in China, where the electric crossover is manufactured to exclusively supply the domestic market at the SAIC-GM Cadillac Jinqiao plant in Shanghai. SAIC-GM announced an aggressive marketing campaign that includes exclusive benefits for Optiq owners such as a lifetime warranty on the vehicle’s electrical system, along with other incentives.
Here is the pricing for the two launch variants of the 2025 Cadillac Optiq in China:
- 2025 Optiq Standard: 239,700 yuan (about $33,110 USD at current exchange rates)
- 2025 Optiq Long range: 269,700 yuan ($37,250 USD)

This is going to sell well in Southern California, but the front could be more aggressive in styling
I have the $33,110 and more ready in my saving account. When can we order the Optiq?
Based on design and specs this is basically a Cadillac Equinox EV
And cheaper if the exchange rates hold!
GM can keep it in china
Lifetime warranty on electrical system, that will cost gm a lot. To bad they don’t do that with ice vehicles here in the states.
