Before it was officially revealed by General Motors, the production-spec Cadillac Optiq was leaked in China. Through these leaked photos, it was confirmed that the Optiq would indeed be positioned below the Cadillac Lyriq, as GM Authority had extensively reported.
In regards to exterior dimensions, the Optiq is actually larger than the both the compact Cadillac XT4 and midsize Cadillac XT5, the former of which is intended to stand as the EV’s ICE-powered counterpart.
Under the skin, the Optiq rides on the GM BEV3 platform, which underpins other General Motors electric vehicles like the Chevy Blazer EV, Chevy Equinox EV, Buick Electra E4, Cadillac Celestiq, and Cadillac Lyriq.
The 2024 Cadillac Optiq will make its global debut later this year, and is expected to launch in China before the year’s end. Production will likely take place at North American and / or Chinese assembly plants
