As GM Authority exclusively previewed last month, the all-new Cadillac Optiq has just officially begun its marketing rollout in China.
The SAIC-GM joint venture confirmed our previous report by announcing that it will launch the all-new Cadillac Optiq in the local Chinese market on Thursday, April 25th during the 2024 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (Auto China), which will be open to the public until May 4th. With the Optiq’s imminent introduction, the automaker began the marketing rollout of its new electric crossover in the Chinese market.
In particular, the Cadillac team in China organized a static presentation event of the all-new Cadillac Optiq for the Asian country’s media taking place from April 1st to the 3rd at the Songjiang Yunbao Future City cultural park in Shanghai. In fact, this represents the first opportunity worldwide for the press to get a closer look at the new Optiq since its world debut at the end of last year.
The marketing rollout of the all-new Cadillac Optiq in China also includes the presentation of official images of the model on Cadillac’s social media channels in the country, showing the vehicle in cover images and other advertising tools. The strategy seeks to raise public awareness and begin positioning the Optiq in the highly competitive local automotive market.
Named “傲歌” or Aoge, the new Cadillac Optiq represents Cadillac’s second all-electric vehicle to enter China after the Cadillac Lyriq – the first vehicle using GM’s Ultium EV propulsion technology to arrive in the country. As such, the Optiq will expand and strengthen the brand’s electric model offering as the next member of Cadillac’s LOVE IQ EV portfolio.
The all-new Cadillac Optiq will be officially launched on April 25th, coinciding with the start of 2024 Auto China in the city of Beijing. Sales of the crossover are expected to begin on the same date and details on configuration, equipment levels and prices will be announced that day. The Optiq units for China will be manufactured locally at the SAIC-GM Cadillac Jinqiao plant in Shanghai, which exclusively supplies the Chinese market.

When can we see the interior?
You know the drill, if you have seen the XT4, its not going to be far from it
Another post by GM Authority has a few interior shots. Much closer to Lyriq than XT4.
Any info on when it will come to America? And where will the US version be built?
Mexico
That’ doesn’t make sense. If it’s built in Mexico it won’t qualify for the tax credit.
Yes it will. The Tax Credit specifies North American built not USA built.
The Tax Credit was designed for USMCA Trade agreement.
Should have been called Calais. That was the entry model from 1965 – 1976. It was the “almost Cadillac” model. Got you into a Cadillac but with less content and the interior was more Chevy than Cadillac. Here the Optic’s exterior is more Chevy than Cadillac in keeping the Calais tradition.
