2024 Cadillac XT6 Available With New Bronze Accent Package

The 2024 Cadillac XT6 can now be ordered with a new Bronze Accent Package (RPO code PDJ), one of three optional accent packages newly available for the three-row luxury crossover. The other two choices include the Blue Accent Package and the Red Accent Package.

The images here show the Bronze Accent Package paired with the Midnight Sky Metallic (paint code GXF) exterior paint color, one of two new tints debuting with the 2024 Cadillac XT6.

The Bronze Accent Package is an LPO or dealer-installed option for the 2024 Cadillac XT6. If the package is ordered by the buyer, the XT6 is built and shipped without it and the dealership installs the accent package when the crossover arrives. The package contents include the following (with relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):

  • Bronze body decal, LPO (SB9)
  • Monochrome Cadillac emblems, LPO (SFZ)
  • 20-inch Gloss Black wheels, LPO (S2K)
  • Bronze wheel center cap, LPO (5ZD)
  • Black wheel lug nuts, LPO (SPY)
  • Black wheel locks, LPO (SPZ)
  • Tire Pressure Monitor, LPO (SD5)

The Bronze Accent Package is an available option only for the Sport trim level of the 2024 Cadillac XT6. It is priced at $2,995 and can’t be combined with the XT6’s optional Onyx Package (RPO code PDB) or Onyx Lite Package (PCP).

The Sport trim of the XT6 ordinarily comes with the 20-inch 12-Spoke Diamond Cut alloy wheels with Dark Android Satin finish pockets (RPO code Q6N) installed as standard. The Gloss Black wheels included in the Bronze Accent Package replace the standard wheels.

The 2024 Cadillac XT6 will not incorporate a mid-cycle refresh and will instead introduce mostly minor changes and updates from the 2023 model year. However, in addition to the introduction of Bronze Accent Package and the two other accent packages as available options, the 2024 model year will have three exterior paint colors dropped from the lineup.

Latte Metallic (color code G5D), Rosewood Metallic (GCK), and Wilder Metallic (GED) will be omitted from the color palette of the 2024 Cadillac XT6. The three colors are already built out and unavailable for the 2023 Cadillac XT6 as well. Meanwhile, it will gain Emerald Lake Metallic (paint code G6I) and Midnight Sky Metallic (paint code GXF), priced at $625, as two of its seven color options.

The online configurator for the 2024 Cadillac XT6 is currently live. The crossover’s 2024 model year will offer the same choice of two powerplants as the 2023 model, including the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine developing 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and the atmospheric 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine cranking out 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque.

Under the skin, the XT6 rides on the GM C1 platform. North American production of the 2024 Cadillac XT6 will continue to take place at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee, while the first units rolled off the assembly line in June 2023.

  1. LOL. Does absolutely every “special trim” or “package” have to have the ugly black rims? Seriously. Is there just no imagination with these manufacturers any more? Stick black rims and a few bland trim pieces on a vehicle and call it special.

    1. Yep, and on most vehicles, those black rims look downmarket. You should see the black “hubcaps” on certain Tahoes and Suburbans. Beyond laughable.

    2. I think more people like the look of the onyx package than those who don’t. Sure it’s not for everyone, but it’s different and gives the lineup versatility. Not everyone these days like plain looking vehicles. Besides, there are enough colors and packages to choose from. Jeff T.

  2. In desperation, GM keeps adding Accent Packages for absurd charges. Even on the “lowly” Trax, the package price is more than if you bought the components separately. The gouging will never end. Was glad to see that dissatisfaction with vehicles topped the complaint list for 2022. This is so out of control. Almost makes me want to wish for mass bankruptcies as punishment. And fines and jail time….as payback for the folks like me that refuse to put up with the nonsense.

  3. You would have thought the wheels would be bronze and some interior bits to be bronze at a minimum. This is about the weakest, most lackluster ‘bronze’ package one could imagine. Great job GM on really using your design creativity on this one. Next week, we will see the ‘blue’ package with a blue decal and blue center caps. Whoopee!
