2024 Cadillac XT6 To Lose These Three Paint Colors

The 2024 Cadillac XT6 introduces the fifth year of the Cadillac midsize luxury crossover nameplate’s first generation. The 2024 model year will not see significant changes from the 2023 model, but as one of very few planned updates, GM Authority has learned that three paint colors will be retired after the 2023 model year.

Latte Metallic (color code G5D), Rosewood Metallic (GCK), and Wilder Metallic (GED) will not be available for the 2024 Cadillac XT6. The 2024 model year will receive two new paint colors in place of those being discontinued.

In addition to being absent from the 2024 model year exterior color palette, all three paint colors are currently built out for the 2023 model year. Latte Metallic was built out from the week of March 6th, 2023 onward, with availability ending on the weeks of March 13th for Rosewood Metallic and March 20th for Wilder Metallic.

Previously, the three colors were available color options on all 2023 Cadillac XT6 trim levels, including Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport, for an extra charge of $625. All three could be combined with all available XT6 interior colorways:

  • Cirrus with Dark Titanium accents
  • Cirrus with Jet Black accents
  • Dark Auburn with Jet Black accents
  • Jet Black
  • Jet Black with Jet Black Accents
  • Maple Sugar with Jet Black accents

It’s worth noting that these colors will be replaced by Emerald Lake Metallic (G6I) and Midnight Sky Metallic (GXF) for the 2024 model year.

Start of regular production (SORP) for the 2024 Cadillac XT6 is currently scheduled for June 2023. The 2024 model year will not introduce a mid-cycle refresh as was originally reported as likely.

As GM Authority covered back in November, the 400,000-mile GM Super Cruise coverage update that GM launched in 2022 is not available for the Cadillac XT6. The limitations of the electronic architecture used in the XT6 because the vehicle was not designed with GM’s Global B platform mean the crossover received only an additional 20,000 miles of Super Cruise coverage.

As a reminder, the 2024 Cadillac XT6 will be available with the same choice of two powerplants as the 2023 model. These options include the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine developing 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine, rated at 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque. Regardless of engine option, the GM nine-speed automatic transmission is equipped as standard, while FWD is standard and AWD is optional.

Under the skin, the XT6 rides on the GM C1 platform, while production for the North American market takes place at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.

  1. It is really sad that gm is incapable of more than five colors on billion-dollar projects!

  2. I still can’t believe this beautiful crossover (exterior)is not getting the same cockpit as the new XT4 with the digital display and large screens in 2024. I don’t get it. Use the same exact dashboard. Sales would go through the roof! Stupid!

  3. Disappointed 24 XT6 will not get a refresh. Al I read for 6 months was the refresh was coming.
