First breaking cover for the 2020 model year, the Cadillac XT6 three-row luxury crossover now heads into its fifth model year with the forthcoming debut of the 2024 Cadillac XT6. Notably, the 2024 Cadillac XT6 will not introduce any significant changes compared to the preceding 2023 model year. Production of the 2024 Cadillac XT6 will begin this summer.
At this point in the Cadillac XT6’s lifecycle, the crossover would normally receive a mid-cycle refresh. However, the 2024 Cadillac XT6 will essentially carryover from the preceding 2023 model year without any major changes beyond updates to the exterior paint options.
As GM Authority covered back in November, the Cadillac XT6 did not receive the full 400,000-mile GM Super Cruise coverage update that GM rolled out last year. Rather, Cadillac XT6 models equipped with GM Super Cruise received an additional 20,000 miles of coverage. The more-limited Super Cruise update is a result of the crossover’s underlying electronic architecture, as the Cadillac XT6 was not designed using GM’s Global B platform.
As for the mechanical bits, the 2024 Cadillac XT6 will continue to offer the same powertrain options as the preceding 2023 model year. That includes the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, rated at 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine, which is rated at 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque. The GM 9-speed automatic transmission is onboard for cog swaps, while both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive are available to put the power down.
Under the skin, the 2024 Cadillac XT6 will ride on the GM C1 platform, with production for the North American market kicking off at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee this coming June.
Meanwhile, production of the Cadillac XT5 in North America will likely end with the conclusion of the 2024 model year, while production of the GMC Acadia will be moved to the GM Lansing Delta Township plant. As such, the Cadillac XT6 may eventually become the last remaining ICE-powered GM vehicle produced at the GM Spring Hill facility.

So disappointing they’re not updating the cockpit – I was expecting a similar upgrade to the XT4. Would have been the perfect car to buy – smaller than an Escalade but with the same feeling.
I will say it agsin this company is so poorly run. You give your entry level crossover a really good modern refresh, why not give the same refresh to your best crossover.Dumb dumb and sid I say this company is dumb!
What happened to the 2024 Cadillac XT6 receiving some minor changes in exterior posture, new grille higher position and stronger frontal lights? The interior is supposed show many new things, especially for drivers.
No significant changes for ’24. How about something new and different such as no significant changes in the pricing structure for ’24. How refreshing would that be?
I have a 2020 XT6 with 3 mos. on my lease. Just talked with the dealer yesterday’ and was prepared to order the 2024 XT6 with the expected updates. Will go back to the drawing board. Hello Mercedes, Audi, Infinity,
I have an Escalade which I love but due to its sheer size I was thinking about moving down to the XT6. Since we were told it was going to get a refresh, I’ve just been waiting to see what the changes would be. Now that we know there won’t BE a refresh, I’m rethinking my choice.
Any company that can literally kill an Icon like the camaro, can certainly kill this unspectacular vehicle! Good going GM, keep up the great work! Nothing GM does, or should I say, doesn’t do, surprises me!
Interior refresh should boost sales substantially.
Love the body but the interior is very underwhelming. Looks like a dashboard right out of a base model entry level SUV. I sure don’t understand that move!! Also, can’t believe they put this great looking ride on the road with seats you sit on, not IN! Was very dissapointed with the firmness of the seats. I can spend about 9 grand less and get a very attractive techy interior with extremely comfortable seating and a 10 year drive train warranty! Looks like thats the way I’ll head.
I used to own a 2020 CT5-V that used this exact gauge package. Interesting that in all but the base CT5 the gauge pack has already gone (or can be ordered) full digital, but it still hasn’t here…
