The 2021 Chevy Suburban introduced an all-new twelfth generation for the nameplate, with several new trim levels now included in the lineup – notably, the RST, Z71, and High Country. The latest generational overhaul also included a new diesel engine option, as well as fresh styling, a redesigned interior, and the latest tech features for comfort, convenience, and safety.
The 2022 Chevy Suburban added quite a few changes and updates to the next-generation model.
The 2023 Chevy Suburban, meanwhile, introduces only a handful of updates, dropping in as the third model year for the latest fifth-generation extended-length full-size SUV. Notably, the 2023 Suburban also arrives with some pricing changes, upping the bottom line by $500 for all trim levels and configurations. The pricing has increased yet another $300 for nearly all Chevy models for a three-year Remote Access plan that now comes as standard. The 2023 Suburban received another price increase in September, ranging from $500 to $1,400 depending on trim level and powertrain.
The 2023 Chevy Suburban adds Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist, but is currently unavailable to order with the Enhanced Trailer View feature. It also gets a new Advanced Technology Package that includes GM’s hands-free, semi-autonomous Super Cruise technology.
More recently, the 2023 Chevy Suburban received a destination freight charge increase of $100 to $1,895, up from $1,795. It also received expanded Super Cruise driving coverage, with select Chevy Tahoe and Suburban units among the first to get this updated feature. Accessibility has been now been doubled to cover more than 400,000 miles of roads in the United States and Canada, up from the previous 200,000-plus miles. Furthermore, the 2023 Tahoe and Suburban now see the return of the Brembo Performance Brake Kit.
Refreshed 2024 Chevy Tahoe and 2024 Chevy Suburban models are set to arrive next year. In March, we caught a prototype of the refreshed 2024 Tahoe undergoing testing. The upcoming models will feature revised front and rear fascias, with new two-tiered lighting setup for the front end. Inside, they will boast a revised cockpit and layout with larger infotainment screens and other improvements.
Production of the 2023 Chevy Suburban kicked off on July 18th, 2022, at the GM Arlington plant in Texas. The online configurator tool is live for the 2023 Suburban.
Production of the refreshed 2024 Chevy Suburban is currently scheduled for November 2023.
