The Cadillac XT5 is a luxury crossover from Cadillac that replaces the Cadillac SRX. The vehicle currently spans a single generation.
First Generation
Cadillac launched the XT5 for the 2017 model year in the spring of 2016. The vehicle made its debut at the 2015 Dubai Motor Show and the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show. It rides on GM’s all-new, front-drive C1 platform, features an all-new engine lineup with an all-new nine-speed transmission (later replaced with a nine-speed), as well as a new advanced all-wheel drive system and an all-new interior.
Refresh
General Motors introduced a mid-cycle refresh for the XT5 for the 2020 model year. The updates consisted of a revised trim level structure to bring the XT5 in line with Cadillac’s Y-trim level strategy, along with slight revisions to the front and rear ends.
XT5 V-Sport / XT5-V
An XT5 V-Sport or XT5-V was expected as a more sporty variant of the XT5, but neither came to market. According to GM Authority sources, neither will ever come to market.
SRX
With the XT5 serving as a direct replacement for the SRX, the last model year of the SRX was 2016.

Second Generation
An all-new, second-generation Cadillac XT5 will launch in 2024 as a 2025 model. Unlike the first generation XT5, which was available in North American as well as in China, the second-gen model will not be made available in North America.
