2025 Chevy Colorado Production Start To Begin Earlier

The 2025 Chevy Colorado debuts several important updates and changes over the preceding 2024 model year, including additional standard features, higher prices, and an updated powertrain lineup. Now, GM Authority has learned that the start production for the 2025 Chevy Colorado has been moved ahead.

According to sources familiar with the matter, 2025 Chevy Colorado production is now expected to begin on November 25^th. The 2025 Colorado was previously expected to hit production on December 2^nd, 2024.

The first order cycle for the 2025 Colorado began on October 24^th, 2024, with the exception of the LT trim level. Orders for the LT trim began on October 31^st, 2024.

Pricing for the 2025 Chevy Colorado starts at $33,495 for WT trims with 2WD, while the LT starts at $37,395, the Trail boss starts at $41,395, the ZR2 starts at $51,195, and the ZR2 Bison starts at $62,895. Pricing is considerably higher than it was for the preceding 2024 model year, with the WT trim now $1,350 more expensive, the LT now $2,850 more expensive, the Trail Boss now $2,500 more expensive, the Z71 now $3,600 more expensive, and the ZR2/Bison now $2,800 more expensive. Of course, part of that pricing increase is the result of additional standard features, as GM Authority covered previously for the Z71 trim level, the Trail Boss trim level, and the ZR2 trim level. The 2025 Colorado also offers the new Custom package, a new Midnight Edition package, and three new paint colors. The Colorado ZR2 is also exclusively available with leather upholstery.

Further updates include a revised powertrain lineup, with the formerly standard turbocharged 2.7L I4 L2R gasoline engine no longer offered, leaving the Turbo High-Output 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine as the exclusive powertrain option. Output is rated 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. Under the body panels, the 2025 Chevy Colorado rides on the updated GM 31XX-2 platform, while vehicle production takes place at the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri.
