The 2025 Chevy Colorado drops in as the third model year for the third-gen, midsize pickup, bringing with it a variety of updates and changes. As GM Authority covered in the past, updates include new styling options, revisions to the trim level lineup, and deletion of the base-level 2.7L I4 L2R gasoline engine. In addition, the new 2025 Chevy Colorado Trail Boss will also be equipped with more standard features.
With the launch of the 2025 model year, the Chevy Colorado Trail Boss will equip as standard the content previously offered via the Trail Boss Convenience Package (RPO code PDA). The Trail Boss Convenience Package was priced at $375 for the 2024 model year, and included the following content (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):
- Sliding rear window (A28)
- Rear defogger (C49)
- Cruise control (K34)
In addition to equipping the three features listed above as standard on the 2025 Colorado Trail Boss, the Trail Boss Convenience Package II has also been revised for 2025, offering Colorado Trail Boss customers a few more upscale features. The Trail Boss Convenience Package II feature list for both the 2024 model year and 2025 model year is listed below for comparison:
The 2024-model-year Trail Boss Convenience Package II (PCW) included:
- 8-way power driver seat (A2X)
- Driver power lumbar (AL9)
- EZ Lift and Lower Tailgate (PPA)
- StowFlex Tailgate (BPC)
- Locking cylinder (BDR)
The 2025-model-year Trail Boss Convenience Package II (PCW) now includes:
- 8-way power driver seat (A2X)
- Driver power lumbar (AL9)
- Remote starter (BTV)
- Wireless phone charging (K7A)
- Heated front seats (KA1)
- Heated steering wheel (KI3)
- Four-spoke wrapped steering wheel (N5G)
- Evotex seats (H2G)
To note, the 2024-model-year Trail Boss Convenience Package II was previously priced at $545. It’s also worth noting that Evotex seats were previously available as a standalone option, priced at $1,250. What’s more, remote starter, wireless phone charging, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and the four-spoke wrapped steering wheel were all previously unavailable on the Trail Boss trim.
The latest revisions to the feature list for the 2025 Chevy Colorado coincides with GM’s new Winning with Simplicity initiative. Announced earlier this year by GM CEO Mary Barra, the initiative aims to lower costs by reducing design and engineering expenses, order complexity, buildable combinations, and other product streamlining measures, and is expected to save GM around $200 million over the course of the 2024 calendar year.
As a reminder, the 2025 Chevy Colorado is equipped as standard with the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine, while the updated GM 31XX-2 platform provides the underpinnings. Production takes place at the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri.

Missed the mark not having optional led headlights. Very disappointed.
No LED headlights? Come on GM. That would have been an easy upsell package. GM marketing fails again.
I had the 23 Z71 that had the remote start the wireless charging and the heated seats and numerous other options I totaled that truck I hit a cow ended up with a 24 Trail Boss without those options thinking it did have them and I was really bummed now the 25 Colorado Trail Boss has all those options where did I go wrong
I think you went wrong running into a COW! lol
Of course price will go up as well. Still 4 banger and short bed are a no go for me.
No LED headlights. One interior color, cab and short bed length. Ugly all black wheels. Still not even close to be on my shopping list!
Well done chevy, I really like the look of the trail boss but it’s really just been an offroad wt with the lack of options.
It makes my decision much easier when I finally decide to part ways with my current duramax.
Now all they need to do is bring back the 2.8 to north america and mate it to a different transmission.
No LED headlights….and no fog lights? They had one job…..how does someone in a management position at GM screw this up so badly? Twice????????
