The 2025 Chevy Colorado serves as third model year for the third-gen midsize pickup, debuting several important updates and changes. Among these are new styling options, including a new paint options list, as GM Authority reported previously. Now, we’re here to report that the 2025 Chevy Colorado will also offer the new WT Custom Package to enhance the base-level trim’s aesthetics and styling.
Photos of the new package are still forthcoming. The new WT Custom Package for the 2025 Chevy Colorado is tagged with RPO code ST0, and includes only a few items, specifically (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):
- 18-inch Black aluminum wheels (PZX)
- 265/60R18 all-season, blackwall tires (QIA)
- Black badging (LPO, RIK)
Essentially, the package includes black wheels and black badging, making for a relatively simple, yet effective styling enhancement. Pricing information on the new WT Custom Package is currently unavailable, although we do know that the package will be installed at the factory, rather than by the dealer.
Meanwhile, the new Midnight Edition package (RPO code WJP) will incorporate a wide range of dark-themed styling enhancements for Trail Boss, Z71, and ZR2 trim levels, so check out our previous coverage for more information on that.
Further styling changes include a new exterior paint options list, with Nitro Yellow Metallic (paint code GCP), Glacier Blue Metallic (paint code GLT), and Sand Dune Metallic exiting with the conclusion of the 2024 model year. In their stead, the 2025 Chevy Colorado will offer three new colors, specifically Snowdrift Metallic (paint code GAE), Reef Blue Metallic (paint code GAL), and Sunrise Orange (paint code GBF).
Moving forward, GM appears to be streamlining the Chevy Colorado lineup, per the automaker’s Winning with Simplicity strategy. To that end, The General is moving the Colorado LT from a standalone trim level to an option package, and will drop the base-level turbocharged 2.7L I4 L2R gasoline engine from the powertrain lineup, leaving the TurboMax turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine as the only powertrain option. The high-output L3B is rated at 310 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 430 pound-feet of torque at 3,000 rpm.
As a reminder, the 2025 Chevy Colorado rides on the updated 31XX-2 platform, with production set to get underway at the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri this December.

Offer a standard cab, long box and I’d buy one.
For some strange reason, regular cabs are endangered vehicle now days – really sad times we are living in.
More unnecessary black themed packages. How about some nicer wheels, an ext cab body and more than one bed size plus some interior colors other than black on black. These are capable trucks with too many half baked gM flaws!
I need a non-denting roof and power passenger seat with same range of motion as the driver.
Until then, keeping my 2019.
This could work. I mean I hate that it’s a crew cab only with a tiny bed and wish a smaller cab and a larger bed (definition of a truck for me) were available. But if I were going to roll over and play along, this is a package I would check out. I am left wondering if this package (and the WT with LT upgrade) have body color bumpers, or if they’re sticking with the monolithic black wall that defines the front end of the WT and Trail Boss.
Great for when you are Ridge Runnin’ – hauling a big load of untaxed, unboned, cawn lick-her whisk-key late at night.
I have a 2021 Colorado (black on black) and I guess the last year for the V-6 (wish it had an LS3) and I love it, except for the non power back window on the ext. cab. I guess this will be the last one for me, I just can’t see me driving a four-banger. I was also lucky to get the 6ft. bed. Anything less would be defeting the purpose of having a truck.
I have a 2016 canyon , have 90 thousand on it ,no problems v6 motor don’t want anything to do with 4 bangers . Nison is the only 6 left , I think a lot of people think like that , 4 cylinder noise . No electric for me ever, buying batteries from China , no way this should happen , electric cars are not going to go over. The Democrats way is really stupid ,if you believe all the lyes they tell . Gm needs new leader ,just like America .
Well, so nice of GM to de-content the WT special edition package. I’m keeping my ’21 thank you. White on black. Crew 4×4 and I had the dealer program a remote start package and the factory fog lamps packge I installed.
