The 2024 Cadillac XT5 is now available to order with the new Blue Accent Package (RPO code PDL), one of three accent packages GM has introduced for the luxury crossover alongside the Red Accent Package and the Bronze Accent Package.
The Blue Accent Package shown in the images here is paired with Argent Silver Metallic (color code GXD), an exterior paint color introduced for the 2023 model year and carrying over to the 2024 Cadillac XT5.
The Blue Accent Package is an LPO or dealer-installed option for the 2024 Cadillac XT5. It is available exclusively on the Sport trim level and costs an additional $2,995. The package consists of the components listed below (with RPO codes noted in parentheses):
- Blue body decal, LPO (SB9)
- Monochrome Cadillac emblems, LPO (SFZ)
- 20-inch Gloss Black wheels, LPO (S2K)
- Blue wheel center cap, LPO (5ZF)
- Black wheel lug nuts, LPO (SPY)
- Black wheel locks, LPO (SPZ)
- Tire Pressure Monitor, LPO (SD5)
The 20-inch Gloss Black wheels included in the Blue Accent Package replace the 20-inch 12-Spoke alloy wheels with Pearl Nickel finish (RPO code Q71) that are normally standard on the Sport trim of the 2024 Cadillac XT5 crossover.
GM Authority has also learned the 2024 Cadillac XT5 has three of the exterior paint colors available for the 2023 model year removed from its color palette. These include Latte Metallic (color code G5D), Rosewood Metallic (GCK), and Wilder Metallic (GED).
Two new paint colors, Emerald Lake Metallic (G6I) and Midnight Sky Metallic (GXF), have been introduced for the 2024 model year to replace the three dropped from the lineup.
GM plans to continue the current first generation of the Cadillac XT5 in North America through the end of the 2024 model year. The nameplate will be discontinued for the North American market when production of the 2024 Cadillac XT5 ends.
Meanwhile, the second-generation Cadillac XT5 will be launched in China exclusively in calendar year 2024. Design and development of the next generation will also take place in China, making it a “home-roomed” vehicle for the Chinese market.
The 2025 Cadillac XT5, already in prototype testing, will not be available in the U.S. or other North American markets. The Cadillac Lyriq will represent the indirect successor to the 2024 Cadillac XT5 in North America.
Production of the 2024 Cadillac XT5 kicked off in June 2023. For its final model year in the U.S., the crossover will continue to be offered with two powerplant options – the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine and the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine. Production of the XT5 takes place at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.
