2024 Cadillac XT5 Available With New Red Accent Package

Available options for the 2024 Cadillac XT5 now include the new Red Accent Package (RPO code PDK), part of a trio of accent packages GM recently debuted for the luxury crossover, the other two consisting of the Blue Accent Package and the Bronze Accent Package.

The 2024 Cadillac XT5 showcasing the Red Accent Package in the images here is wearing the Stellar Black Metallic exterior color (paint code GB8), which has been a $625 extra-cost option since the luxury crossover’s 2017 launch.

The Sport trim of the 2024 Cadillac XT5 is the only trim level eligible to be ordered with the Red Accent Package. The accent package is an LPO or dealer-installed option and is priced at an additional $2,995. The package contains the elements listed below (with relevant RPO codes included in parentheses):

  • Red body decal, LPO (SB9)
  • Monochrome Cadillac emblems, LPO (SFZ)
  • 20-inch Gloss Black wheels, LPO (S2K)
  • Red wheel center cap, LPO (5ZD)
  • Black wheel lug nuts, LPO (SPY)
  • Black wheel locks, LPO (SPZ)
  • Tire Pressure Monitor, LPO (SD5)

The standard 20-inch 12-Spoke alloy wheels with Pearl Nickel finish (RPO code Q71) normally equipped on the Sport trim of the 2024 Cadillac XT5 are replaced with the 20-inch Gloss Black wheels when the dealer installs the Red Accent Package.

GM is dropping three exterior paint colors previously offered on the 2023 model year’s list for the 2024 Cadillac XT5 color palette. The colors are Latte Metallic (paint code G5D), Rosewood Metallic (GCK), and Wilder Metallic (GED).

The General has added two new paint colors to those available for the luxury crossover’s 2024 model year, namely Emerald Lake Metallic (paint code G6I) and Midnight Sky Metallic (GXF).

The first generation of the Cadillac XT5 will continue to be offered in the U.S. through the end of the 2024 model year. GM plans to discontinue the nameplate in the North American market entirely after production of the 2024 Cadillac XT5 eventually wraps up.

At the same time, The General will launch the second-generation Cadillac XT5 as a China-exclusive model during calendar year 2024. Design and development of the next generation will also take place in China, making the XT5 a Chinese market “home-roomed” vehicle.

The 2025 Cadillac XT5, already in prototype testing, will not be available in the U.S. or other North American markets. The Cadillac Lyriq will become the indirect successor to the 2024 Cadillac XT5 in North America.

Production of the 2024 Cadillac XT5 is scheduled to kick off in June 2023, and will continue to take place at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.

  1. Why do they think everyone wants to show off the car’s brakes? I never thought I’d miss the plain and simple wheels of the 90s.

    1. I take it you’ve never made any cosmetic alterations to any of your vehicles? You’ve never selected an option based on esthetics? Because that would make you an “idiotic” as well based on your own reasoning.

GM came up with an optional appearance package for those who want it. Instead of a full blackout package this one has a few red accents, not a big deal. Nobody is forced to take it, and the people who do aren’t idiots for getting something that makes them happy.

  6. Discontinuing the XT5 will be a big mistake.
A very popular model. The XT5 customer is not going to buy that electric Lyric. Cadillac will lose out on this decision.

  7. I agree with Robert, making the XT5 and the CT6 China only products is a BIG mistake. I’ve bought or leased 19 new Cadillacs since 1980 and would happily continue, but I don’t want an electric car, so the Lyric is out of the questions. I guess I’ll be forced to switch brands. It’s a shame that Cadillac is abandoning its loyal customer base. I predict it bite them on the ass.

  8. Folks, the Red Accent Package is only available at the dealership. You don’t have to get it if you want the Sport model. Also, since this will be the last model year, the take rate of the add on could be low.
