These changes follow the 2020 XT6, which was the model’s introductory year, along with small changes for the 2021 XT6, 2022 XT6, 2023 XT6 and 2024 XT6.

Production of the 2025 Cadillac XT6 kicked off at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee in June 2023. This facility supplies all global markets with the exception of China. Meanwhile, the SAIC-GM Jinqiao Cadillac plant in Shanghai, China produces the XT6 for the domestic Chinese market.

The first-generation Cadillac XT6 is based on a variant of the GM C1 platform shared with various GM crossover SUVs.

Beyond 2025
We expect the current, first-generation XT6 to remain in production through the 2026 model year, with a small update arriving for the 2025 model year exclusively in China. After the 2026 model year, the XT6 will be indirectly replaced by the Cadillac Vistiq.
Chinese Market Update
GM treated the Cadillac XT6 to an update for the Chinese market. The update includes a larger infotainment display, new ventilated and heated seats in both the first and second rows, second-row executive seats that are six-way power adjustable and feature two-piece armrests, along with available black badging.
No such update was brought to the North American-market XT6. It would appear that the 2026 Cadillac Vistiq will serve as the replacement for the XT6 in this market.
